Mercedes Benz of STL sells luxury cars.

Reviewed by Heidi H from Troy, ILSeptember 26, 2024

Mercedes Benz of STL sells luxury cars. But what they did not sell to me is quality, safety, or customer service. Earlier this year, I experienced a dangerous and traumatic incident with my Mercedes EQE 350 that could have resulted in loss of life. My car came to an abrupt stop while I was on 55 South going 65 mph. This stop came with zero warning or alert in the car. If there had been a semi behind me, I would have been crushed. In fact, if anyone was behind me, I would have potentially killed them and it would have been my fault. Despite the severity of the issue, the Mercedes corporate executive referral manager assigned to me provided subpar customer service and failed to provide any resolution. I was merely told that they found “a bunch of errors” from that day and expected to continue driving the car. After months of back-and-forth with MB Corporate, MB Dealership, my only option given from this dealership was to pay $39K to end my lease. The entire time, the dealership said they’d help me get out of this car, but when it came down to it, they were not willing to help. I strongly caution against purchasing a car from this dealership as they do not prioritize customers that spend an exorbitant amount of money with them. And PLEASE reconsider purchasing an electric car from this manufacturer because they DO NOT stand behind their product. If anything happens to your "luxury car", prepare for a long, drawn out fight that ends up with you getting nothing promised to you.

I had my car checked for a 1200 mile relocation.

Reviewed by Very Upset Customer from xx. Louis Mo.August 13, 2024

I had my car checked for a 1200 mile relocation. "All good", I was told. Six months later I find the entire bottom of the car is rotted out, the brake line so corroded I was not allowed to drive it home. The subframe about to fall off…and other axle etc rot. I could have been Killed on that 1200 mile trip. Other times, when I got the car back from service suddenly there'd be new problems. Quick, superficial service….they don’t take care of your car, could care less. When I confronted them about these Huge mistakes they said "not our fault". Oh really, then who's. Almost $10,000 repairs, 108,000 miles. Why did I spend all this money for a Mercedes E350 "reliable luxury car". Dave Cissi, Service Manager took NO RESPONSIBILITY for this terrible, dangerous service work.

It all started in Alton Illinois. In 1986 Tom Hennekes opened his first dealership and named it Alton European Imports. In less than a decade the dealership grew and he moved it to Downtown St. Louis. In 1997 the company moved to Ellisville as Tri-Star Imports. Then with the resurgence and energy in our great city we moved to our current location at the corner of Highway 40 and Hampton Avenue. We are now Mercedes-Benz of St. Louis. Our State of the Art facility is 54000 square feet and encompasses 3 floors. Our showroom is stunning and showcases 20 Mercedes-Benz models.
