Terrible issues, odometer and CARFAX do not match. Warranty short 644 miles. No dealership assistance to resolve the issue, Car delivered with 3 damaged wheels, 61psi in each wheel, dangerous pressure level. Still no registration delivered to me, 3 weeks after purchase date. Ignored on all counts by the dealership. Starting to feel Mercedes Benz is not represented well by MB of Pompano with these issues unresolved. No attempt to make 80K customer whole. Terrible non- response from customer service at AutoNation. I'm starting to wonder if this vehicle is legal / legitimate at all. Maybe a lemon on odometer issues, certainly a failure on the damaged wheels at delivery and suspect registration problems.

Car is riddled with issues, suspect odometer, 3 damaged wheels, tires inflated to 61 psi on delivery, still a non-existent electronic or physical registration provided to me, after car purchase 3 weeks ago. I've contacted the dealership and AutoNation Customer service over the issues and am ignored. For an 80K vehicle, I'll be going elsewhere next time, for parts, service and new car. Dismal representative of Mercedes Benz products. I've submitted a written complaint to the Florida DMV, and Mercedes HQ.

My out-of-state purchase from Mercedes-Benz of Pompano
My out-of-state purchase from Mercedes-Benz of Pompano Beach involved major preventable issues, delays, and poor communication. The vehicle sat on the lot for 75+ days with a battery that died twice, staff used a Joey tool to force entry and scratched the tint, the car was not detailed, there were scratches on the leather, the title was delayed and misspelled, and my calls went unanswered for weeks. AutoNation corporate confirmed they have received numerous complaints about this dealership. Please avoid this dealership at all costs. It’s not worth it. Read further for the full details of what happened to me. Vehicle Condition & Preparation • The vehicle sat on the lot for over 75 days, and the battery had died back in June. Instead of replacing it, it was only recharged. The battery died again, and the dealership initially attempted to provide the vehicle with the same failing battery, which would not have survived shipment. • The manual key did not work, and because the battery was dead, staff used a Joey tool to access the vehicle. This resulted in scratches on the window tint, and no responsibility was taken for this damage. • During the original in-person visit, Reggie (sales) removed the plastic mechanical keyhole cover to try accessing the car; this piece was never replaced. • Upon arrival out of state, the vehicle was not detailed, with visible makeup residue in interior creases, on the visor, and on the wireless charger. It was as like pulling teeth trying to get detailing done. They finally found a nearby AutoNation dealer who was willing to do them a favor by detailing my car. This was way below their typical standards at Mercedes Benz. It’s a luxury dealership, how could you ship a used luxury vehicle without detailed it? Lazy work on their behalf. • There were also scratches on the backseat leather that were not present at the time of purchase. This vehicle was not sold as is. They would not take responsibility. Paperwork & Administrative Processing • Title paperwork was significantly delayed, resulting in more than eight weeks without a vehicle. • My name was misspelled on the title, requiring an affidavit to correct the dealership’s error. • The finance manager originally assigned to my deal (Peter) was no longer employed there, which contributed to delays in processing. • Al and Winston were responsive and did provide assistance after Peter’s departure. Communication & Management • Phone calls and follow-up attempts were frequently not returned and I was ignored. • When communication finally reached the General Manager, Joe, he stated that he would not be able to do much because the dealership was “losing money on the deal.” • Reggie (Sales) provided limited assistance throughout the process, and I would not recommend working with him based on this experience. Escalation to AutoNation Corporate • I contacted AutoNation corporate directly. They acknowledged that there were many other complaints regarding this dealership and confirmed that my experience was not isolated. • Corporate advised that their involvement would be limited to acting as a liaison between myself and the General Manager. No further corrective action was taken at the corporate level. While the dealership did ultimately pay for shipping and eventually replaced the failed battery, these actions did not resolve the broader issues with preparation, damage, delayed paperwork, and inconsistent communication. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Mercedes-Benz of Pompano Beach.
