The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is a compact SUV that shares its platform with the Mazda3. In terms of size, it is positioned below the CX-5. Maximum cargo space is 45.2 cubic feet with the rear seat folded down.
It is powered by a standard 191-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is available. A more powerful 250-hp, turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder is also available with AWD only. Fuel economy for the 2.5 FWD model is an EPA-estimated rating of 25/33 mpg city/highway. It slightly lowers to a 26/33 mpg rating for the 2.5 AWD model. The Turbo 2.5 model has the lowest rating of 22/30 mpg.
2.5L model has five trims are available: Base, Select, Preferred, Carbon Edition, and Premium, while the Turbo 2.5L has two packages: Premium and Premium Plus.
