very dishonest

We bought a 2019 used cx5, the finance guy was terrible!!! I would never come again! They are very dishonest and try to tack on an extra $3000 to your bill.

Lied about features and yelled at me!!

I found this car online. It had everything we were looking for and was the right price. We went in and drove it to check the engine and transmission. We were told numerous times that we were getting a great deal because of all the features it had on it. They listed them out on paper for us to see again (same features that were on the online listing). They told us how much those feature added to the value of the car when we were doing paperwork. After purchasing the car, we got home really late (we live 3 hours away). The next day we started to push buttons and figure out how to use the car. Well, all those FEATURES WEREN'T THERE!! I did a search on the VIN and saw that they were listed with the VIN so I figured this was an honest mistake. Called the dealership to find a solution. They told me the features added $1500 to the cars value but were only willing to give me $200 back. The finance guy I worked with was so kind, helpful and understanding. We came to a solution and everything was great. I was going to return the car. This is were everything went to crap. The manager Seyner called me and started yelling at me!!! Telling me everything was all my fault and that I messed up. He demanded that I had the car to him within 20 hours (called me at 6pm) or I would have to keep the car. I live in a different state!!! Turns out he had been driving that car the previous week (he had clothes, a lighter and a gun holster in the car when we test drove it). He KNEW what options it had. I knew my rights and he had misrepresented the car. The consumer guarantee act protects buyers from things like this. He wouldn't let me get a word in and everytime I tried to talk to him, he talked over and and yelled how wrong I was. It was terrible!!!!! I ended up driving the car half way and having them meet me to take it back. I had been very impressed my this dealership until that manager called and was soooo horrible to me. Up until that point, I even asked if I could find a way to purchase another car from them. Moral of the story, check EVERYTHING and ask to talk to anyone else but that manager. Also, ask what the $400 go green charge is on the paperwork, because that is a fee they charge but don't explain.

I received a prompt callback from the dealership on my inquiry, but when I made an offer, I didn’t get any follow up as promised. I gave it a couple days and reached out to inquire about the status, and they said ‘they owned the car for more than that’...whatever that means. Didn’t even bother to counter and my offer wasn’t that far off, plus I was willing to negotiate. Further, they decided to increase the price of the listing in the process, which seems a little shady. If you don’t want to work with people who are shopping online, why bother listing on cars.com? I am a motivated and prequalified buyer, but they must not want the business. Bye Felicia.
