Buying a car is stressful.
Buying a car is stressful. Buying one here was a nightmare. Save yourself the headache and AVOID #1 Cochran Mazda of Monroeville. I wanted to buy from Cochran because my cousin, Dominic Amato, works at the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep location. He’s one of the nicest, most honest people you’ll ever meet. Unfortunately, I wanted a Mazda CX-5, not one of those brands, so I had to go to the Monroeville Mazda store. Big mistake. It was lie after lie. Lie #1: When the car would be ready. This mattered because I needed the car immediately for work. They told me it wasn’t certified yet and wouldn’t be ready for a week. I said fine, I’d just look for another car. Not long after, they called back and promised it would be ready when I came in, or delivered the next day. Neither was true. I bought it Thursday and didn’t get it until the following Tuesday. Lie #2: Payment. I paid part in cash and had the rest as a personal loan check from my own bank. They told me they couldn’t accept it, but insisted I reapply to the exact same bank, only through them instead. It made no sense. I left. As soon as I was in my car ready to drive away, they called back and suddenly decided my check was acceptable after all. Lie #3: Floor mats. When the car was finally delivered, there were no mats. I called, thinking they’d just forgotten after cleaning, I was told, and I am not joking, that “the car must not have come with floor mats.” A ridiculous lie. At some point you stop asking whether it’s incompetence or dishonesty, because the result is the same. They advertise free inspections and an oil change, but I’d rather pay out of pocket elsewhere than ever set foot in this dealership again.

We had a pretty odd experience with the dealership.
We had a pretty odd experience with the dealership. We were interested in a used CX-9. We drove 4 and half hours one way after having confirmation on change of all tires and rear brakes but when we reached at the dealership, we were told that only 2 tires were changed (which is not recommended for all wheel drive anyway ). The difference between the tires tread was significant. We were told that the inspection report shared earlier was not the latest one. I had concerns even with the replaced brakes but they said those were actually replaced. One of the worst customer experiences I had in last few years. The staff was rude and did not want to listen and acknowledge the concerns. I acknowledge we were late for our appointment but we informed them that we’ll be one and half hour late. We have 4 little kids and it’s not easy to drive around with them (and I understand it’s not anyone else problem).
