Waste of time.
Waste of time. Communicated with Eric Doyle, the sales manager, for 4 days about a vehicle. I indicated I liked a certain color and they went and got that color vehicle even though I told them it didn’t have the packaging I wanted. And told them the exact vehicle I did want. Set up an appt after work thinking they’d have the vehicle I wanted and drove 1.5hrs to find out the manager didn’t have the vehicle I wanted but they kept trying to sell me on the one I didn’t want. The sales manager didn’t communicate anything to the rep who was supposed to be helping me. They made me wait an hour to be helped even though I made an appt. When we started talking about my trade Vincent Nguyen immediately started trashing it and pointing out every little door ding when my car is in great condition for being nearly 5 years old. After over 2 hours we finally got to where Eric and I had originally left off. And instead of negotiating, Vincent became argumentative and condescending as I pointed out Eric had previously said he can take off delivery and showing them they’re overestimating my taxes based on a quote from a Louisiana dealership. Vincent took it as if I was trying not to pay taxes at all. Also I wasn’t putting money down since my trade and incentive should be nearly $23k! And that got a negative reaction. Just an awful, stereotypical dealership experience. And the worst part isn’t how much time they wasted but that now the incentives aren’t available. Stay away.

The salesperson, Dustin, was pleasant and knowledgeable. The GM seemed nice enough. The finance person was horrible, outright lying to try to sell extended warranties. He "explained" that doing our own maintenance would void any warranties, going so far as to say that the owner's manual explicitly states that service must be performed by ASE certified mechanics to keep the warranties in place. The manual actually clearly explains what records must be maintained when servicing the car yourself. Is it that difficult to be honest with customers? On the plus side, the car wasn't loaded up with the useless add-ons we had seen at other dealers, such as $399 paint protection and $463+ nitrofill for the tires. It did have a few add-ons that I would have purchased anyway, albeit at inflated prices. If you can avoid the high-pressure, dishonest finance person, it's probably one of the less-bad dealers.

I looked at a new Mazda CX5 yesterday and decided I liked
I looked at a new Mazda CX5 yesterday and decided I liked it, I called this morning and got an “out the door” price. I went to my bank to transfer the money then went to Butch Oustalet Mazda to make the purchase. When I got there the Sales Manager told me that the price I was given was incorrect. I was told this car didn’t qualify for the rebate because it had an automatic hatch gate. I explained to him that I received a price on THAT vehicle, he said he couldn’t honor it. He contacted the General Manager and he confirmed that they would not honor the deal. In my way of thinking, if you say you’re going to do something, you do it. No matter what!!! I will never purchase a vehicle for Butch Oustalet!!!
