The 2024 Lexus NX is entering the new model year with light updates and a new starting price of $40,205 (all pricing includes the $1,150 destination fee).
The NX’s exterior styling is carried over from the 2023 model year, so the bulk of the 2024 updates focus on creating a more seamless interior. The glove box and passenger-side center console now feature color-keyed trim; certain interior colors also have color-keyed trim on the door panels. The rest of the cabin is otherwise carried over.
A 9.8-inch infotainment system is standard, while an optional 14-inch touchscreen comes bundled with a three-year trial of Lexus’s Drive Connect services, which include Intelligent Assistant, cloud-based navigation and Destination Assist. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also come standard. New standard safety equipment includes collision-avoidance steering assist and left-turn oncoming-vehicle detection and braking. Other standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, lane-centering steering, lane departure steering assist, road sign assist and adaptive cruise control.
Performance for the 2024 NX family comes from a quartet of powertrains, with the base NX 250 getting a 203-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, while the NX 350 gets a 275-hp, turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder. In the NX 350h, the 2.5-liter is paired with two electric motors for a combined system output of 240 hp, and the range-topping plug-in hybrid NX 450h+ adds a third electric motor and a lithium-ion battery for a combined system output of 302 hp. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard; the NX 350h and 450h+ both come with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the NX 250, and all-wheel drive is optional; the rest of the lineup gets AWD standard.
