2024 Lexus IS 350

The compact 2024 Lexus IS luxury sedan stands out from the crowd thanks to its sharp styling and wide assortment of powertrains. Last redesigned for 2021, the IS is mechanically unchanged for the 2024 model year, though there are some notable updates.

The availability of the IS’ performance-themed F Sport and F Sport Design packages is extended to rear- and all-wheel-drive versions of the entry-level IS 300. An F Sport Blackout appearance package is added to the IS 350, and the V-8-powered IS 500 receives minor exterior updates and new paint color options, including an attention-grabbing hue called Blue Vector.

What’s New on the IS 300?
Helping to make the IS 300 sportier is the available F Sport Design treatment, which includes 19-inch alloy wheels and unique exterior badging. Stepping up to the IS 300 F Sport brings aluminum pedals, heated and ventilated front seats, and an F Sport heated steering wheel. A blue paint color called Grecian Water is also now available on non-F Sport variants.

Under the hood is a 241-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard RWD. AWD variants come with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 260 hp and is mated to a six-speed automatic.

What’s New on the IS 350?
The IS 350’s notable update for the 2024 model year is a Blackout Package available on the F Sport. This package consists of 19-inch matte-black BBS alloy wheels, dark-chrome exterior trim and black side mirrors. Also included is the Lexus Memory Package for preprogrammed settings of the steering wheel, driver’s seat and side mirrors. Lexus has also made Incognito exterior paint (a glossy gray) available on the regular IS 350.

As before, the IS 350 is motivated by a 311-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 and is available with either RWD or AWD. IS 350s with RWD get an eight-speed automatic, and AWD variants come with a six-speed automatic.

What’s New on the IS 500?
Last but certainly not least, the strictly RWD IS 500 with its snarling 472-hp, 5.0-liter V-8 and eight-speed automatic transmission gains standard black side mirrors and dark-chrome trim, along with Incognito as an optional exterior paint. A Special Appearance Package that’s limited to 150 units in North America continues to be offered on the F Sport and comes exclusively with Blue Vector exterior paint, 19-inch matte-black alloy wheels, proximity keyless entry and a black synthetic leather interior with blue stitching.

Standard Technology
Standard comfort and tech features continue to include an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, two USB ports, satellite radio, a 10-speaker audio system, dual-zone climate control and paddle shifters for the transmission.

In terms of driver-assist features, every 2024 IS is equipped with Lexus’ Safety System Plus 2.5, which includes blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and lane departure steering assist.
