Service will damage your car- do not use!

My car’s hood was damaged during service appt. Manager told me to wait three days for him to “review tapes” before fixing. Horrible customer service!

Between myself and the members of my family, we buy a new vehicle almost every year. I do most of the legwork because I'm retired. Given this frequency of purchase, I visit certain dealerships every couple of years for a test drive, including Park Place Lexus, Mercedes, etc. It just so happens that I myself haven't bought a vehicle from them because I happened to find the ones that I liked better elsewhere. However, my relatives and some friends did buy a car or SUV from this family of companies in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex on my recommendation since I know their driving needs and tastes, which often differ from mine. Long story short, today, I was denied a test drive in my new search for a vehicle because the Park Place Big Brother's computer was showing that I'd committed the unpardonable crime of testing vehicles multiple times without buying them. I've been shopping for cars for some forty years, but this was a first customer service faux pas of that kind I'd ever run into in this area or elsewhere in America. Here's what I'm gonna do about it besides placing this info on as many online dealership review portals as I can. I belong to a customer club with several hundred members in this area. I will send out an email to each and every member on my distribution list, describing this customer service fiasco. The unwritten rule is that members of the club usually stop patronizing a business if another member sends a letter of complaint. If that deprives Park Place dealerships (especially the one in Plano) with several dozen fewer sales, my mission will be accomplished.

I left message about interest in a car and was contacted promptly by Mark in used cars department. Very helpful. After test driving I loved the car. I owned it in less than an hour. Very painless process and I left feeling like I got a more than fair deal. Ask for Mark.
