I've owned the Sedona for only a couple of days but several items already stand out: Removable middle seat in the 2nd row - the removable middle seat to effectively create a captain chair scenario while at the same time having the option to put the seat back in provides great versatility. Apple car play - this is a fantastic option which allows for the utilization of far superior mapping programs such as Waze and Google Maps.

Previously owned 2012 Sedona & then went with 2017

Car is great. Second KIA Sedona I have owned. Reliable, comfortable, and plenty of room all over. Good road mileage. Good color scheme inside and out.

Second Sedona!

This is my 2nd Sedona, the first a 2012 lowest trim and this one, a 2017 EX. I love the updated exterior and the interior is beautiful. My 1st Sedona was very reliable and perfect for budget friendly option. The EX has more bells and whistles for a very reasonable price used with a bunch of KIA awesome warranty remaining. Saved money but didnt sacrifice comfort over more expensive options I test drove. Take a chance buy a Sedona you won't regret it!

2017 Kia Sedona Overview

The 2017 Kia Sedona is a family minivan that seats up to 8 passengers. It competes with the Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, and Nissan Quest. This year, it remains largely unchanged, but

Five trims are available: the L, LX, EX, SX, and SX Limited.

For a minivan, the Sedona has pretty sleek styling with sporty accents. The front-end features a bold, rectangular grille with a diamond-mesh pattern that is flanked by angry projector headlights. C-shaped motifs at the lower front fascia are outlined in chrome. Both sides of the Sedona have a sliding passenger door for convenient entry. At the rear, the Sedona has a high-mounted LED center stop light. Standard features include power side mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, a rear spoiler, and 17-inch alloy wheels. HID headlights, fog lights, heated side mirrors, a power moonroof, a power liftgate, power sliding doors, and larger 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels are also available.

Under the hood, the Sedona is powered by a standard 276-hp, 3.3-liter V-6 engine that produces 248 pounds-feet of torque mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. Fuel economy for the Sedona L, LX, and EX trims is an EPA-estimated 18/24 mpg city/highway. The rating slightly raises to a 18/25 mpg rating for the SX, while it lowers to 17/22 mpg for the SX Limited.

Inside, the Sedona has standard cloth seating for seven passengers with a pair of second-row sliding chairs and a 60/40-split folding third-row seat. The Sedona utilizes a unique Slide-N-Stow seating system that allows for second-row chairs to be folded upright and the third-row seat to be folded and stowed into the floor. The second-row chairs can be swapped for a removable bench seat for total of eight passengers. Cargo space is 78.4 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.

The center stack features a standard audio system that includes a 5-inch touchscreen, CD/MP3 playback, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio, and a USB port. It can be upgraded to Kia’s UVO multimedia system with a 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, Kia eServices, and an Infinity premium audio system. Air conditioning, cruise control, remote keyless entry, and power windows/locks come standard. Leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, power/heated front seats, and a push-button start available as well.

The Sedona was named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It also earned a full 5-star overall crash test safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Rating (NHTSA). Standard safety features include six airbags, antilock brakes an electronic stability system, and a backup camera. Adaptive cruise control, a blindspot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and a surround view monitor are available as well.
