Service for kia forte

Had appointment to replace oil pan, arrived for appointment and waited two and a half hours when I asked how much longer it would take. Both people that make the appointments and take your info did not know this repair required a sealant to set for 24 hrs. They said they would give me a ride home. I asked for a loaner vehicle and was initially told that they didn’t have any as people were always wreaking them. I insisted on having a loaner, he then said he would have to ask his manager. They ended up loaning me a vehicle but I wasted so much time there and they just shrugged it off as not kniwin* it would take that long. If the people mak8ng appointments are that ignorant what about the people they have servicing the car? I overheard them say they had a mechanic quit that morning. What is going on at this dealership’s service department? I noticed all new faces recently. Odd all the staff has changed. I have been taking my car there for the last eight years. The last oil change and this repair make me distrustful. Guess I’ll be looking for another garage.

This review is for the SERVICE DEPARTMENT (I had no issues with the initial purchase of my car). I brought my car in for a Kia recall due to a possible fire hazard, the service was SCHEDULED on 4/28/2021, to bring the car in for the service on 5/5/2021. Upon calling, I advised I would like to have the recall taken care of along with getting a oil change, I spoke with a lady who advised that would be great, and giving a week notice will give them plenty of time to get the needed parts in for the recall. I took my car in for service on 5/5/2021 around 8:40am for a 9:00am appointment, spoke with Michael Falkner, advised I was there for the oil change and recall, he said no problem, asked if I was going to wait for the vehicle or drop off, advised I would be dropping off as I had read online the recall took a few hours to fix. Michael advised he would call me when the vehicle was ready. I received a phone call from Michael at 10:35am advising me that my vehicle was ready, and they “unfortunately could not fix the recall because the part is on a national backorder”. I was rather confused by this, as to why I was not told this while making the appointment, and was assured with me scheduling early would give plenty of time for the part to arrive. Also why was I not called to advise the part had not arrived, so I could have saved myself a nearly 2hr drive from Honaker VA, for a simple oil change, I could have used a local garage. Upon entering to retrieve my car, Michael said how am I doing, I advised I was rather pi$$ed off due to the recall not being fixed, he said “oh sorry, let me walk you over to pay for the oil change”. I paid the over $60.00 for the oil change, and on the receipt there is a message that “if you are not totally satisfied with service, call the manager Carl Stewart” which I did. I spoke to Carl at 11:32am, to which he explained the issue with the “national backorder” on the part, and advised that I should have been called to be advised that the part was not there. Carl assured me he was going to do some homework on this, and asked my permission for a call back in 20-30 minutes, to which I agreed. This was on 5/5/21 at 11:32 am, today is 5/10/2021 at 8:47am, and I am still awaiting that phone call. Very disappointed in the service I have received from Grindstaff Kia and the lies spewed by the service department. I would advised to look elsewhere for your vehicle needs, as it seems there is only good service when the buying process is happening.

Failure of clutch master cylinder

We purchased a 2020 KIA SOUL on September 2019 at that time there where promises made that never came to fruition! Today we took itin because I found that it was leaking break fluid. Lo and behold we were told that the clutch master cylinder was leaking AND it was going to take a month plus to get a replacement . It gets better, they had the audacity to say that the car was safe to drive but just keep an eye on the fluid, really. Personally I should have ask them to put that in writing, of course that would have never happened. Car dealer's are in it for the money period after the sale is made good luck to ya. Our KIA SOUL only has seven thousand plus miles on it, I'm sure now, that's why they pushed the ten year extended warranty we're going to need it. as a retired veteran I've all way lived by the adage live and learn by your mistakes.
