Excellent buying experience!

I had an excellent experience at Murray Kia! I spent a number of years in the car business in sales and finance. My retail experience makes me very particular about who I’ll do business with. I was immediately impressed by the responsiveness and professionalism of the staff at Murray Kia. From start to finish, all employees I encountered were quick to get back to me and demonstrated a high level of competence. There are several Kia dealerships much closer to my home, but the team at Murray Kia worked hard to earn my business. Having spent time in the business myself, I went into the process with high expectations. Many thanks to Roger O'Kane in sales for demonstrating honesty and transparency throughout the process, patiently answering my many questions. Roger worked diligently to find me the best deal on the perfect vehicle, matching features and benefits to my wants, my needs and most importantly, my budget. Thank you to Russel Bell in finance for making the process of completing the paperwork straightforward and easy. Thank you to Alex Calinescu for an excellent delivery process, including a demonstration of new technology which my last car didn’t have, as well as advanced driver assistance features. I highly recommend Murray Kia for your next vehicle lease or purchase!

Eh. it wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great either

Eh. That’s how I felt when I left. I went in to purchase a Kia that I had been looking for, for a while. I had already test drive at another dealership, so I didn’t need to be sold on the car, I had already made my mind up, it was just a matter of deciding on what color I wanted. The price was very fair, and there were no hidden fees which I appreciated. The only complaint that I really have was the lack of communication. After my husband and I submitted a financing application, and found out that we were approved, that was pretty much the last we heard from anyone for well over an hour. Granted, it was a busy Saturday, and our salesperson was working with multiple clients. It just would have been nice to been kept in the loop on where things stood, about how long things might take, etc. My husband ended up asking the receptionist for an update on what was taking so long, and where we stood in the process of everything. She was able to find some information for us on that, luckily. After a a pretty long wait, we were finally called back to sign paperwork, and also met with another employee who sat in the car with us to go over some of the tech features. The final thing that kind of just put a bad taste in my mouth was the salesman we worked with didn’t even say goodbye to us, thank us, or congratulate us when we left. Either he had already gone home, or was in his office when we left. One of his co workers did walk us out and thank us, but it would have been nice to have heard something from the salesman we actually worked with. I’m not expecting to be waited in hand and foot by any means, but when you’re buying a $24k car, it’s kind of nice to have basic communication with your salesperson. Oh well. I got the car I wanted, at a great price. I do have to say that everyone was very friendly, the receptionist went above and beyond to try and help entertain my two year old daughter, no one was outright rude by any means, and the dealership was very clean. I didn’t hate my experience, but I didn’t exactly love it either. It is what it is.
