Experience was not done with integrity, one sales person
Experience was not done with integrity, one sales person said the offer with financing, then was contacted by a different sake personand said that is not going to happen. Customer service lacking.

Took 2020 Soul in for an oil change.
Took 2020 Soul in for an oil change. R/F wheel bearing makes noise, they wanted 211.00 diagnostic fee to check it for warranty. Car has 17,000 miles on it. Their million mile warranty comes with a hidden fee.

What an odd experience!
What an odd experience!!! I live an hour away from the dealer. Very interested in a car on their lot and asked them to hold it for me until the end of the day when I can get there. Was told it's a $2,000 non-refundable deposit to hold the car. I haven't opened the door on this car yet or driven it for a test drive as I looked at it on a Sunday (business closed) and they want 2k non-refundable payment. Yes NON-REFUNDABLE. Never heard of such a thing and can now safely remove them from a dealership I'd consider doing business with for the rest of my life. Had a "snotty" sales person "Crystal" or something this morning that said they had a complete service history. Called back right now and reached another employee that told me they have no service history on the car. 15k miles lease turn-in. This dealer is simply "winging it". My advise is to look anywhere else that this place. What an odd "sneaky" experience today. So happy I found out before a purchase. Hanging up on your staff did not happen. I realized I would never do business with a dealer like this. Our call mutually ended. No explanation of this one off position is needed. I wouldn't want to drive an hour only to not have the car I'm interested in not be there. That's a waste of everyone's time. I've purchased over 20 cars myself and have never had a seller work against a customer like this place does. I'm glad I now know. I can take any Barnett dealer off my potential list to do business with. Thank you for operating this way. Good to be shown true colors upfront so I can avoid a certain disaster down the line. I'm sure warranty issues with this place is a nightmare!!!!!! Lot's of other places to spend money. My experience says avoid this place and go where your business is treated fairly. Look at the Snarky replies for anyone having a bad experience. No ownership in their receipt of criticism.
Dealer Response
Scott Anderson: What a world we live in where someone can post a one-star review for a business just because they don’t like the business’ policy! As was explained to you on two separate phone calls, by two separate staff members, the dealership does not “hold” vehicles. A vehicle is for sale until a customer puts a non-refundable deposit down on it, or comes into the dealership to sign paperwork on it. This has always been our dealership’s policy, and it serves the purpose of protecting customers. If we were to “hold” a vehicle, and then another interested customer came into the dealership to buy it, we would be obligated to not sell the car to the customer who was here, ready to purchase. Instead, we would have to “hold” the car until you came to see it. And, if you looked at it and didn’t like it, the previous people likely would have already left and potentially bought something else. That is not fair to the second customer, and certainly not fair to the dealership who would have lost a sale. When you called the second time and were again told we would not hold a used car for you, you proceeded to hang up on our customer service agent, without allowing him the opportunity to explain why this is our policy. We would have invited you to stop by after you were done with work, and told you to call ahead to make sure the vehicle you were interested in was still available, but by hanging up, you did not give us the opportunity.

70 Years in business!? Yup, that's right. Celebrating 70 years this year, the Barnett Auto Group has been part of the White Bear Lake and Twin Cities auto dealer scene since 1954. Through all those decades, our sales staff has remained committed to making the customer's auto buying experience the best it can be. It's working; we're a family business now on our third generation. Likely you know us as the popular Kia dealership here in White Bear Lake that has fun making our TV commercials. We're all that, yes, but it's not all we are. We're your neighbors with a vested interest in keeping you safe and confident while you're on the road. That's why we choose to sell new Kia and used car models. It's also why we offer first-rate service on all vehicles, not just those we sell. Our commitment to treating you in a neighborly fashion extends from maintaining sizeable inventories of both new and used vehicles to expert auto repair service to our no-frills, easy-to-comprehend financing. We offer more than just car loans and leasing for drivers from White Bear Lake, Roseville, St. Paul, Woodbury and beyond, we also apply a tenacious spirit dedicated to getting the flexible terms you deserve.
