I bought a used 2019 Honda Fit from here this summer. It was overpriced, but otherwise what I needed so I bit the bullet. I wish that had been the end of the story, though. Despite being told it was rigorously inspected before I picked it up, this car has been riddled with issues. The belly plate started dragging on my way home to Chattanooga. Turns out over half of the fastening clips had been ripped out. Instead of replacing them with new clips, the plate was reattached with two zip ties. An absolutely wildly unprofessional thing to do. Then, within days, my front left tire blew out on the highway. The mechanic said it was due to a blister and found another on the back left tire. Something that also should have been caught and corrected before selling. Within the month the battery (that was supposedly new) completely gave out and needed to be replaced. I hadn’t done anything like leaving lights on to prompt this and no amount of jumping would bring it back for more than a short trip (it needed to be charged every time I turned the car on). On top of these things I needed to get a realignment and now a new alternator. At this point I see only two options for how things ended up like this. Either this dealership is cutting corners and being negligent because they just can’t be bothered to do a quality job or because they only care about making the maximum amount of money and fixing problems before selling dips into the bottom line. Either way, I’m out a lot of money for issues that never should have made it past the “rigorous inspection.”
