My daughter was looking for a new car.
My daughter was looking for a new car. We saw a car on CarGurus, which was a used Toyota Prius at the Kia Hayward dealership. We called ahead to confirm it was still there and spoke to a pleasant salesman named Rameen. He told us yes and he would have it ready for us to test drive. We drove two hours to the dealership. Test drove the car and my daughter decided of the ones she had seen, that she liked it the most. We told Rameen we would like to get it. He had us start the paperwork for her to do the financing which I would be co-signing on. We waited about 45 minutes and I asked how much longer it would be. Micheal Wang said they were waiting on the bank decision. Another 45 minutes past. Still waiting on the bank decision I was told. 30 more minutes. No bank decision. I then told Micheal I would just go to the bank and get a cashiers check. I asked due to the long wasted time for my daughter, my wife and myself and running my credit, which has obviously done nothing to help me get her a car except put a hard credit check on my credit if he would compensate on the price at all. Micheal said no shortly! He said we don’t move on used car prices. We left the dealership acquired the cashiers check and then returned. It had now been about 4 and a half hours since we arrived at the dealership. They then asked my daughter and myself into a room and asked what they could do to make this right and for us to not leave upset. They offered a free car wash or an oil change at their dealership. Knowing she lives 2+ hours away this is more of an insult! Rameen did his job well and was very informative and a pleasure to work with. When I asked Micheal Wang to speak to the general manager or get his name he said he was, (even though on our paperwork it says he is the salesman) the finance person as well said he didn’t have any cards as well. I find this dealership doesn’t care about your time or customer service and only cares about profit percentage. As someone who has been a manager of customer service for over 30 years I find it hard to believe that Micheal understands this at all and will not take care of customers the way they should be treated. Stay away from this dealership! They don’t care!!
