Horrible Service, Scammy Salesmen

I purchased a used 2015 Chrysler 200 in July 2018. During the test drive I noticed the front passenger door made I clicking sound. I was told it would be looked at before I made the purchase. After driving off the lot, I noticed they didn’t fill the car with fuel, as they had promised me. Oh, well, no big deal. The following day, the check engine light came on. I brought it in, and was told that I didn’t know how to put on the gas cap correctly because it was a “new system” and very sensitive to vapor leaks. Code was cleared until the next day when the CEL comes on again. Brought it in a week later and was told the thermostat was bad, and the repair was over $400. I told them I wasn’t paying that on a vehicle that was supposed to be like new! After getting my salesman and the service team together, the bill was dismissed. The door was still making the clicking sound after being checked along with the thermostat, so it was brought in again. They did nothing and charged nothing. A couple months later I went through a car wash and the passenger door was leaking water like mad! After a total of 4 door fix attempts, they outsourced the problem to a body shop who took another 2 attempts. The door currently is better than when I bought it, but will never function perfectly. This car has an automatic parking brake that activated every time the car is put in Park. This feature could be turned off, something that I was not aware of. In January 2019 the rear passenger parking brake froze, locking the wheel and preventing the car from moving. I of course only realized this at 11pm after getting off a 12 hour shift at work. I sat in the freezing car for an hour before my aunt picked me up and drove me home. The next morning I had to have the car towed to Tanner (at my expense) and have the brake system checked and reset (also at my expense). I was told it was my fault for leaving the auto park brake system on during a Minnesota winter. This car has a rubber tray running underneath the car for aerodynamics. The service techs damaged the tray in front of the passenger front wheel when attempting to repair the door one visit. Instead of properly fixing it, they took glue and zip-ties to hold the piece together. I only found out because I dropped something and it rolled under the car., which required me to get on my belly and reach under the car. The transmission has never shifted smoothly, especially during the winter. Passengers comment that my car feels like a lumber truck! The transmission is, of course, “functioning as designed”. I will not even bring my car in for oil changes here, as they charge easily double what other dealerships charge and I don’t trust them to not make mistakes. Every time I went in for service I was greeted with long wait times and rude receptionists. If you’re looking for a car in the Brainerd/Baxter area, go to Mills Honda and stay far away from this place!!

As others have said I would give them no stars if I could. Took my Ram in for a recall repair and had them change the engine cooling fan at the same time. Got the truck back and the fan clutch was not engaging. Worked fine when I brought it in and did not work when I picked it up. They did have to remove it from the truck to change the fan blade but were unwilling to accept responsibility for damaging it. First they said it was just a coincidence, then they tried giving me some BS about the bearing failing. They wanted almost $400 to replace it. My local independent mechanic did it for about $120. Had a bad experience with my wife's jeep there a couple years back so now I'm done for good. Never again will I go there and not only will I not recommend them I will rip them every chance I get.
