I purchased a 2022 Ram Rebel that was advertised on many online sites like cargoes and others from this shady place. I had been searching for a while comparing vehicles. I called and texted Elgin CDJR and set up a time to come look at it. It’s was advertised as carfax certified one one and no accidents and it was advertised as Ram Certified. I went in on a Saturday. I had my other Ram Truck as a trade in also. At first everything seemed ok. Salesman also stated carfax certified and Ram Certified. It seemed to be comparable price and clean especially with super low miles. After a little haggling. Even though I got really low balled on my trade in. I ended up up purchasing the vehicle. Again they stated carfax certified and Ram certified meaning I would get 3 months bumper to bumper warranty on top of existing power train warranty. After signing a bunch of paperwork. I never received the carfax report or the Ram certification. The finance manager was arrogant the salesman after the fact never returned my phone calls or texts. I had issues with Big screen uconnect radio turning off and locking up. There was a recall for abs system on the uconnect radio screen and I hand a bent tailpipe with no hanger holding it up. After repeated calls no help or return calls. I did briefly speak to somebody that claimed to be the finance manager and all he said is I have to talk to salesman and hung up. This place is Shady as xxxx. I already spoke to attorney and state of Illinois and better business bureau. They were all smiles until after the sale. And now they just blow you off

if I could give 0 stars I would. My husband and I have very busy schedules. We were both finally able to get the day off and go review options for vehicles. I must say prior to going to this location I went to a competitor whom was very informative and had great customer service. The only reason why we didn't purchase their vehicle yet was because the salesmen told us don't rush our decision and explore our options and if the vehicle was absolutely the one we want come back and we'll get set up. He even told us what to be careful on when we explore our options with other competitors. I was in communication with Frankie via text at this location and I figured I'd give them a shot and see what they have. My husband and I already saw a few vehicles we were interested in and we wanted to see them in person. I texted Frankie to notify them we would be stopping in and I also called in to ask for Frankie but got a Brandon. I asked do I speak with you when I stop in and he said yes. When we got there Alex approached us and said he would help us because Brandon is in the internet department. The conversation started off great but then after we decided to discuss the car we liked that's when the conversation took a turn as well as his attitude. When we were talking the final price Alex kept saying he can't take taxes away because that's what we have to pay, in which I get that and We all know we have to pay taxes but its the fact he kept saying it multiple times and I don't even know why. It felt like a sales strategy to make us think we cant work out a deal on the car price because of TAXES?? Then he kept insisting he can tell us pricing once he runs my credit. I told him once we decide on the price and I feel good about my decision I'll give you my information because I have great credit and I dont want this to hit my credit if it turns out to not be what we want. He brings us this paper with the pricing break down and laid out the pricing but What we didn't get is how the vehicle went from 23k to 31k and we also noticed hidden add ons and when we addressed it he kept tip toeing around the topic and said How do you plan to pay? I asked him it depends on the total. His response was "WELL CASH ISN'T KING SO IF YOU WANT A CHEAP PRICE YOU'LL NEED TO DO FINANCING AND IF YOU DO CASH YOU'RE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR ALL THESE ADD ON SERVICES. I told him so your saying if I wanted to pay cash I have to pay more and I have to purchase these add ons because its a cash purchase and he said YES. My husband and I looked at each other and both knew this was a someone trying to rip us off and add services we don't want. His attitude changed when I questioned him. He said let me talk to my manager. When he stepped away I also noticed a manager telling one of his salesmen what to say tell a lady to make a sale and "go get it she wont even notice". I looked at my husband and said yeah this isn't going to work. Alex came back and said we can remove the add on which will bring it to x price. I told him how is that a deal you basically came back and told me the price of the vehicle plus tax the only thing not included in that price was the add they tried to be slick and add to the total. I know how to do math but I wonder if he knew that. We got up and walked out. I will never recommend this place to anyone and I would be cautious on what you get and check the fine print.
