Do NOT do business here - Not an honest company

I highly recommend NOT purchasing a vehicle from this business. My daughter was sold 2 vehicles with bad engines. First time, was told it was a catalytic converter and would be covered under the Ford Warranty. Check engine light was on at time she bought it and when she got home (around 7 miles) from the dealership, it would not start. Had to call the salesman to jump the vehicle. After taking the vehicle to Mertz, they said it had a bad engine. We then told the business and they said they would buy it back and do a trade. 2nd vehicle same kind...Ford Escape same thing, bad engine. This time the light came on shortly after she bought it but had already left. Went to Millstadt, then to Oliver C Josephs. When she told me the check engine light came on again. I said maybe it is a simple thing. Vehicle was towed in the next day. They said it needed a new piece and that the thermostat would be changed out. She then got the car back a week later. It wouldn't run again, they held the car from around Sept. 30th til like Oct. 31st. This time they took the vehicle to Sunset Ford in Waterloo. They said the engine was bad due to it being driven badly. I said she had the vehicle for few hours, then all this happened. I believe it was driven badly prior to her purchasing the vehicle. However, the Ford company can't prove when it happened. In the end, the General Manager did not refund her in full. She was held accountable for monthly payments, taxes, title, and misc. fee's totaling $1469.00 in the end. For what, a vehicle she doesn't have. Again, I highly recommend not buying from this dealership
