Old World Elegance and Performance

It is a sport limousine. It's got all the most advanced comfort and safety features , and at last the look and line of the grand automobiles of yesteryear, that we have not seen for the last fifty years. This Jaguar model has regained the long lost look of the breed, and the sporting performance that goes with it

After driving the Pilot, Ridgeline, Highlander, Santa Fe, and several others, the Sorento EX V6 was by far the best value for my money. It is solidly built, quiet, and smooth

One of the most beautiful cars on the road

I have owned three of these - having just purchased a 17 following my purchases of new XJL models in 2010 and 2012. Incredible value for the money. Very sleek and comfortable with every possible safety and convenience feature you could want.

2017 Jaguar XJ Overview

The 2017 Jaguar XJ is the flagship sedan that has two wheelbase options: the Standard Wheelbase (SWB) and Long Wheelbase (LWB). The LWB version has an extra 5 inches of rear legroom. Other full-size luxury sedans such as the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, Lexus LS 460, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class compete with the XJ.

Three trims are available for the SWB XJ: R-Sport, Supercharged, and XJR.

The LWB XJ also has three trims: the XJL Portfolio, XJL Supercharged, and XJR LWB.

The XJ has sophisticated, athletic styling with elegant body lines. Its bold, rectangular grille aligns with an equally rectangular lower fascia, forming a moderately proportioned front-end. The headlights are aggressive, while the taillights are quite understated in comparison. Standard features include LED headlights, power/heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, a panoramic moonroof, a power trunk, a dual-pipe exhaust system, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Adaptive headlights, an aggressive front bumper, gloss black exterior accents, a ventilated bonnet, and unique 20-inch alloy wheels are available as well.

Under the Hood
The XJ is powered by a standard 340-hp, supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and rear- or all-wheel drive. Other engine options include a 470-hp, supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 (XJ and XJL Supercharged) and a 550-hp, supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 (XJF).

Inside, the XJ has a luxurious, yet sporty leather interior with a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a 40/20/40 rear seat. The center stack features the Jaguar InControl Touch Pro multimedia system, which includes an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, an app suite, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio, a USB port, and a Meridian surround-sound audio system. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated/cooled front and rear seats, and a memory seat. Quad-zone automatic climate control, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a rear entertainment system are optional.

All models come with a five-year/60,000-mile warranty that includes free scheduled maintenance and roadside assistance. Standard safety features include a backup camera, front and rear parking sensors, a blindspot monitoring system, and emergency brake assist. Along with standard adaptive suspension, the XJ can be adapted for different road conditions using JaguarDrive Control, which has Winter and Dynamic driving modes. Adaptive cruise control is available as well.
