Under the Hood

Three engine options are now available for the F-Pace. 25t, 20d, 35t, and S badges denote which engine is equipped. The new entry-level engine (25t) is a standard 247-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, which is available for the base trim, Premium, Prestige, and R-Sport. The advanced 180-hp, turbo-diesel 2.0-liter 4-cylinder (20d) is only optional for the Premium, Prestige, and R-Sport. Both engines mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. A more powerful 340-hp, supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 (35t) is available for the Premium, Prestige, R-Sport, and Portfolio trim levels. The S is tuned to produce 380-hp and 332 pounds-feet of torque with the same powertrain. At the time of this writing, the EPA had not released fuel economy ratings for the F-Pace.

Inside, the F-Pace has a premium cloth interior with a 40/20/40 split-folding rear seat. The 33.5 cubic feet of rear cargo space can be further expanded with the rear seat folded down. The center stack features a standard audio system with a 5-inch display, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio, and a Meridian sound system. It can be upgraded to the InControl Touch infotainment system that includes an 8-inch touchscreen, an integrated navigation system, and InControl Remote and Protect apps for vehicle control, location, emergencies, and diagnostics. The InControl Touch Pro version comes with a 10-inch touchscreen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and additional InControl Apps is also available. The gear selector dial provides an elegant solution to the conventional shifter knobs found in other vehicles. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, remote vehicle start, cruise control, an automatic dimming rearview mirror, power front seats, a memory seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel are available as well.
