The 2017 INFINITI QX70 is a full-size luxury SUV that seats up to five passengers. It competes with the Mercedes GLE 300, BMW X5, and Lexus RX 350. This year, it remains largely unchanged, but a few new features are available.

The QX70 looks pretty much the same as last year’s model, but it has a new, ogi-mesh pattern grille that replaces the former chrome bar design. Standard features include Xenon HID headlights, fog lights, a power moonroof, a power liftgate, a rear spoiler, and side air vents at the front fenders. Things get more interesting with the new Limited Package that includes a more aggressive, wide-mouth lower fascia, LED daytime running lights, body-color side air vents, and a clear center high-mounted stoplight. It replaces the previously available Deluxe Touring Package. Two new colors are available: Hagane Blue and Majestic White.

Under the hood, the QX70 is powered by a 325-hp, 3.7-liter V-6 engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional. Fuel economy is an EPA-estimated 17/24 mpg city/highway.

Inside, the QX70 has a premium leather/lacquer-trim interior with a 60/40-split folding, reclining rear seat. Maximum cargo capacity is 62 cubic feet with the rear seat folded down. The center stack features a standard audio system with a 7-inch display, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio, a USB port, and a Bose premium audio system. It can be upgraded to the INFINITI Navigation System with an 8-inch touchscreen, voice command recognition, and a DVD player. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, power/heated front seats, rear HVAC, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, remote keyless entry, and push-button start. A leather-wrapped steering wheel, a wood-trim, and ventilated front seats are available as well.

Standard safety features include an advanced airbag system, antilock brakes, an electronic stability system, and a backup camera. The available Technology Package includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic braking, and adaptive headlights. A surround-view camera system and lane keep assist are also optional.
