Used car buyers beware

I’ve never written a google review before until now. I purchased a 07 Chevy suburban with 140k miles from Crest Auto Group. I paid the approx. blue book value for a car that is free from major mechanical defects. A short time after purchasing, I drove on the highway for the first time. The car began rocking and swaying back and forth. I immediately slowed down. It was a scary ride. I had several on board including 2 in car seats. I took it to a Chevy repair center. The repairs needed? $5200 just for the suspension. Shocks completely blown, struts leaking, plus many other parts including the ball joints. Additional repairs of $1500 needed for oil leaking gaskets and seals. Call me naive, but I never expected this from what I thought was a reputable dealership owned by Berkshire Hathaway. I called David Easley, the used car sales manager and explained the situation. His response was brief, rude, and condescending. “This is really simple” he said. “You bought the car as is. And no, I won’t buy it back.” “But what about the inspection done by your maintenance department I was told about” I asked? I had specifically asked the sales rep about any possible suspension issues, like ball joints for example, and was told they would have been discovered and fixed during the presale inspection done by their maintenance department before the car can even be sold. “That inspection is only the state inspection needed for registration” he told me. I tried to explain that I was told differently and there are significant safely issues and costs. I could not imagine why the car was even allowed to leave the dealership in such an unsafe condition in the first place. David Easley then suggested I have a friend at the Chevy dealership scheming with me and are we are fraudulently telling him repairs are needed that are not necessary. Really David? This is how your treat your customers? Have fun explaining that to your bosses. Suddenly, he spins this around so I am the crook instead of him. I took the car to him so he could see for himself. His response? to take a measly $850 off of the suspension repair bill. What a joke. No thank you. I left. I couldn’t get away fast enough. Considering the repairs needed, I paid way too much for this car, way above blue book value. Beware of this place. The worst deal and worst used car buying experience I have ever had
Bought a Vehicle - BMW X6

I found the vehicle online and made the purchase from out of state this was a new process for me. David the sales rep was very nice and responsive. Since they had just received this vehicle, the pictures of the vehicle were missing on their website, he sent me a few pictures. There were couple of minor issues which he told me they will repair before the vehicle is delivered. For the most part they did correct the issues such as detailing the vehicle (below average), repairing a tear in the door (great job) but the rims on the vehicle instead of grinding and repairing they just painted. We noticed this when we were picking up the vehicle and were told that is all they do but if I am unhappy with the result they will try again and I had to leave the vehicle there for the afternoon. I was short on time so I decided to not get it done from them.
In my opinion the finance, title and transfer was the biggest challenge. Although the finance per I dealt with was nice and on top of his game; I am not sure if they have the correct system and process in place to carry out the out of state transactions. Getting the documents signed was a challenge and they had to send multiple packages. Then again there was something missing and they had to resend. Even then they had email me some additional documents that they missed and I had to sign, scan and email back. But most frustrating part came when I received no copies of any documents. I requested those multiple times and still never came. I finally went back to them when I was in Dallas to pickup (50 plus days later) and to ask them the status of my license plate that's when I was told that their vendor dealerdoc who processes these documents requires additional documents. According to dealerdoc they only communicate to their customers and not with the buyer so they send the document request to dealer within 5 days of the deal. Now I am dealing with additional issues since dealerdoc needs original of some of the documents means I have overnight it to them which brings up additional unnecessary cost and frustration. Keep in mind it has been almost 55 days since I have purchased the vehicle but the plates and title transfer still pending.
