Buyer Beware (especially out-of-sonly reason I am leaving
Buyer Beware (especially out-of-sonly reason I am leaving two stars is because the finance guy was friendly and I cannot stand leaving bad reviews - The salesperson I dealt with is Erica. To start, of course, she was nice and friendly. Pictures and video sent but I had to request pictures of the frame and undercarriage. I purchased the 2017 Tahoe knowing it was in a minor accident with minor dents and scratches -fine. During the sales process Erica stated they would have “no problem” buffing them out. Spoiler alert: they did NOT. When the vehicle arrived and we took it on the first drive. Right away I noticed (literally within a few minutes) the screen started glitching. The radio would switch and buttons would be engaged. I quickly noticed the middle of the screen was unresponsive and did a cursory Google search- this is a well-known and understood issue with these GM/Chevys. It will cost us $700-$850 for the part and labor/repair. The very next morning (we received the vehicle at 9:00 PM) we reached out to Erica and of course she was totally unresponsive. I had to text her a couple more times to get her to respond and take the issue seriously. Also before I go too far I pointed out there was a noise coming from the right front of the vehicle like a banging sound- again something that was not possible to not know about during the sale process but they completely failed to disclose it. Erica stated she’d reach out to her pre owned sales manager and after a few days I once again had to text her to get her to respond. She wrote back with the basic insult that all sales are final and basically I should go pound sand. I of course asked how it was possible that they could sell a vehicle like this with 0 concern for their customer and totally mislead us on the condition of the vehicle and issues they had to have known existed. Now - if they didn’t know these issues existed this also means they aren’t doing their “multipoint inspections” which is advertised all over their Ad and website etc. more lies and fraud… Lastly - and this applies to out-of-state buyers which we are - do NOT allow them to handle shipping for you. I have experience with vehicle shipping as it was my industry for a decade so I know how to vet carriers and brokers. Circle tried to give us a company that was not authorized to transport and had no shipping insurance. We told them about this when i discovered it and this should have been the red flag for me but i always give people the benefit of the doubt. Instead, she argues with me and says her manager said they’re “fine” and it won’t be a problem so of course I explained to them that that is a ridiculous thing to say and they ended up giving me the name of a company I know so I reached out to them directly and took care of the shipping. Within 3 weeks of owning the vehicle the front brakes were squealing. Again - I point to the fact there is no way they did any sort of maintenance for this vehicle and if they did, they did shoddy work or used crap parts because the brakes should have lasted us at least 6 months min. I took a few months to consider whether or not to leave this review but I decided to leave it. I’ve dealt with thousands of car dealerships across the nation as a vehicle shipper and have had thousands of customers who I have shipped for and it’s actually very rare to have a bad experience from a dealer like this but here we are. The lack of empathy or willingness to address any of our concerns or even make a bad offer of trying to make it right is what really gets me - they not only didn’t try to make it right, Erica insulted me by saying “what do you expect it’s a cheap vehicle.” I guess $19K for a vehicle with over 100K miles is cheap?? Never mind the fact we also had to change the water pump last week ($520 though I will again be the nice guy and just say that was a random event and is expected. BAD experience. No way this is a 5 star dealer. Maybe they will do the right thing?
