I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing
I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a vehicle from Infiniti of Tampa. I was assured by the sales team that the car had passed a full multi-point inspection and was safe to drive, but within less than three months the vehicle went through two major repairs. The first issue was a telemetry malfunction where the car began calling 911 on its own. During that situation, I found out that the warranty the finance team enrolled me in was never activated. Because of their mistake, I had to pay $300 out of pocket at a BMW-authorized repair facility. After nearly two weeks of my car sitting in their workshop, the dealership finally corrected the issue. Not long after, another problem surfaced ? a loud clunking noise under the hood. Before taking it to BMW of Wesley Chapel, I repeatedly confirmed with the sales team that my warranty was active. Once again, I paid $300 for an inspection. BMW sent me a video showing that a transfer case bolt was missing. This is a serious and dangerous safety issue. I had my family in this car; this could have ended horribly. How a dealership can claim a multi-point inspection with something like this missing is beyond unacceptable. Even after fixing that, the noise remained. BMW later discovered that the left front shock strut was damaged and needed replacement. When they attempted to file a claim, they found ? AGAIN ? that my warranty was not active. I had to go through the same ordeal to get it activated for a second time. When the claim was finally submitted, it was denied because shock struts ?were not covered,? despite being told by the finance team that my warranty was bumper-to-bumper with only brakes, battery, and wiper blades excluded. At this point, I feel completely misled and taken advantage of by Infiniti of Tampa. I traded in my Audi A8 in excellent condition to purchase this car, and now I?m being quoted around $6,500 to repair the shock strut and the tire it damaged. I?ve lost all trust in this dealership. Between the untrue claims about inspection, the repeated failure to activate my warranty, and the misleading description of the warranty coverage, this has been one of the worst car-buying experiences I?ve ever had. I hope others read this before making the same mistake.
