The 2021 Hyundai Sonata is a mid-size sedan that features a bold hexagonal front grille, smoothly sloped body lines, and narrow-slit taillights that stretch across the backend. It competes with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Nissan Altima.
Four trims are available: SE, SEL, Sport Plus, and Limited.
Two engine options are available: a standard 191-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a more fuel efficient 180-hp, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder. Both engines are mated to the same eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. At the time of this writing, the Sonata 2.5L earned an EPA-estimated rating of 28/38 mpg city/highway. It decreases slightly to a 27/27 mpg rating for the Turbo 1.6L Sonata.

I love my new car. It’s very comfortable and rides smooth. The safety feature such as lane assist and brake lock are new to me but I’m getting used to them and liking it.
