Don't Overpay for Your New Hyundai Santa Fe

2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Overview

The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe is a full-size SUV that seats up to seven passengers across three rows. This year, it receives a mid-cycle refresh with an outstretched front grille. Maximum cargo capacity is 71.3 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.

Four trim levels are available: SE, SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy. The new Caligraphy trim comes with all-wheel drive and 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels.

Powering the Santa Fe is a standard 191-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Limited and higher trims have a more powerful 277-hp, turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is joined with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. For both engine options, front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is available.

Fun to drive! Many safety features.

My Sante Fe Limited is well equipped. When I sat down in it for the first time I thought I was in the cockpit of a fighter jet (never sat in a fighter jet). It has many “gadgets” which makes driving the car exiting. It checked all of the boxes for me. Safety. Comfortable ride. Quiet. Nice looking. Just to name a few. If you are looking for a SUV, do yourself a favor, test drive a new Santa Fe. I suggest trying the 2.5L turbo!

Very poor value for the money, look elsewhere

I am on the hunt for a new midsized SUV, so I went to my local dealership to try the Santa Fe out last week. What a joke of a vehicle. It is ridiculously underpowered (I thought I was going to burn out the engine when I tried to get up to speed with traffic, which took forever), feels heavy, and handles insecurely. The interior looks modern but feels breakable and cheap to the touch. If you wanted features and power, you would spend what you could spend to get a much better vehicle. Hyundai has always seemed cheap to me, and my experience with this car confirmed my suspicion that they are now just cheap and hyped by a bunch of shallow, dumb hipster commercials. Not recommended.
