Beware!

I just purchased a used vehicle from Murdock Hyundai in Murray at the end of April this year. The car has a recall that i scheduled a service for and needed them to take a look at a noise in the front of the vehicle that I have been experiencing for some time. The service advisor said it would cost 500$ to fix the noise and that it is a wear and tear part. I find it hard to believe the Wear/tear could not be seen on the vehicle when they did their multipoint thorough inspection before they sold me the vehicle a few months ago. I have been trying to get ahold of a sales manager today and the receptionist keeps transferring me to voicemail won't even put me on hold to speak to someone, super unprofessional and I would not recommend this dealership.

Murdock Hyundai of Murray Rocks!!

I just had the most amazing car buying experience at Murdock Hyundai of Murray, especially from an experienced, compassionate and knowledgeable representative by the name of Tony Hilder. As a die hard Hyundai customer of 7 years, I had the worst experience at another Hyundai dealer located in downtown Salt Lake City. In short, due to the lack of communication, service and professionalism, I was the unwitting owner of a brand new Hyundai 2021 Santa Fe that had no financing and expired temporary tags. I even reached out to my credit union to apply for a loan. The finance manager's response: Find out what they say and get back to me. I was devastated because, although I was in love with the vehicle, I could not keep it since the burden fell on me to finance. My gut told me not to give up on the Hyundai brand, so I called Hyundai Murdock. I got in touch with an experienced, professional individual named Tony who had over 30 years experience in the industry. He asked me to come in, explain what happened and what I wanted. During our conversation, I was explicit that I did not want to give up the car I thought was mine that I bought. I loved how it drove, how roomy it was and that I could even ride up in the mountains with my vehicle. Although there were other Santa Fe models on the property, Tony had a purpose. He kept asking me questions, asked if I had the price sticker for the vehicle and went out to get it. He and I spoke, he was typing away on his computer to, what I thought, was him trying to find me a vehicle comparable. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought he would find me an identical Santa Fe like the "non financed" one I was driving. He did tell me that it was being transported to the location however, the fact that Tony found a match and was having it brought was incredible. I cried all over again that I would not have to settle for another Santa Fe. He kept in contact with me, as well as reassured me that, once it was on site, he would walk through everything with me (the "other" place told me to look at the manuals). I also would like to Commend the finance manager, Kevin, who walked through each document I signed, as well as ensured that I understood everything I was signing. He also gave me copies of paperwork I signed (instead of a Flashdrive in the shape of a "key"). Due to the fact that I had no means of transportation other than the "non-financed" car I was driving, Tony set me up with a loaner until my car came to the lot. On the day it arrived, Tony did what I am accustomed to when it comes to the "Hyundai Experience." He lifted the hood of the vehicle and explained the entire engine compartment, where my battery was and what type of oil to use (as far as weight). He then got into the car and went through every single nook and cranny of the car; nothing was left unexplained. Yeah I "could have read the manual" but Hyundai is all about customer service: Tony Hilder exceeded it by leaps and bounds. He listened to me, gave me peace of mind that he (and Hyundai} cared about my satisfaction and went the extra mile by finding "my" car. My faith has been restored and it is thanks to Tony. Trust me, Hyundai got an earful of what happened at the other location; the public and car consumers need to know what Murdock Hyundai of Murray will do for its customers. Reliable, Responsible, Respectful service. Thank you Tony for everything you have done for me! By the way, the other place still has yet to contact me on the status of my "financing" with my credit union. Thanks but no thanks, I am content and my first official car payment is next month. Thanks again Murdock Hyundai of Murray.
