Bought a used pickup from them, researched others before going to them, priced very nicely. Amber was very friendly and helpful. Hopefully they show everyone the same as they showed me :)

CROOKED!
This is my first EVER review, but I wanted to save others some trouble. Find another dealership to work with as this one is extremely unprofessional and does not care about their customers or their word. Austyn was nice in person, but has yet to follow up and make things right on the vehicle we purchased. We bought a truck from Hyundai of Columbia and were told that 4 things on it would be fixed before it was delivered to us- the batteries would be new, the power running boards would be fixed, the sunroof would be fixed, and new windshield wipers.
We had a "We Owe" signed and dated that these 4 things would be fixed before we took ownership of this vehicle. They were not.
1. The batteries were not changed. They were just wiped off. The very next morning after we got the truck, it was dead in our driveway. We had to jump it off and go buy 2 new batteries- the day after we bought it. Sure enough the batteries were both bad. It was clear that those batteries were the original batteries as they are labeled with the year. They had been wiped off to look clean.
2. The power running boards that they supposedly fixed didn't work the very next day. We took it upon ourselves to take it to the Ford dealership and they in fact said the motor and rods were bad and it will be $1500 to fix. Now I know why Hyundai of Columbia half assed fixing it.
3. The sunroof would not close and we were told it would be fixed. When they delivered the vehicle, we tested it. It wouldn't close back after we opened it. The person that delivered it took it back to the shop and closed it as we were leaving on a trip in this vehicle the next day. We were told it would be fixed correctly when we returned. It wasn't. We ended up paying over $200 at the dealership ourselves because Hyundai of Columbia didn't care to fix what they agreed to fix.
4. It was supposed to have new windshield wipers installed. By now, I bet you can guess.... it didn't. It rained on us the weekend after we bought it. They were so bad we couldn't see out of them. Another $75 out of our pockets.
Not on the "We Owe" but just an expectation when you buy a car (pre-owned or new) is that the oil and filters were changed- AGAIN, nope! I have proof that the oil was looong overdue for an oil change and the air filters were disgusting!! Again, I'm willing to let that slide if they would fix everything else they agreed to.
I will NEVER recommend Hyundai of Columbia to anyone. If you do choose to buy there, beware of what you are getting in to.
Hyundai of Columbia could make this all right by fixing what they agreed to fix before we bought the truck. I'm willing to eat the battery and wiper costs, but I highly doubt anyone will even reach out to me after this review to fix the running boards and sunroof (the sunroof is still not fixed as it should be, but I wasn't willing to shell out $600 for the bug guard, etc to pop up). We have given Austyn and HoC ample time to reach out and fix the things they agreed to fix. I expect some level of shadiness from car sales men/dealerships, but this is unlike anything I have ever seen before.
P.S.- the shop that "fixed" all this stuff was Gateway Service Center in Franklin. I will NEVER take a car there to be fixed as they clearly do not fix anything.
Great experience

Found a truck that I had been looking for. I live about 400 miles away. Called the dealership. Talked to Colin. It was gonna be about a week before I could get up there. He made no promises. Told me it probably wouldn’t be there. He kept in communication with me all week. The truck was there. I drove up to Columbia. Traded my truck. And took the one I’ve been looking for back home with me. I was in and out in less than two hours. Everyone was very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Ask for Colin.
