I have been in the market for a Kia sportage hybrid. Loved the model that was listed on this dealerships website. I called when the price was one number to confirm its availability and submitted a TruCar submission to the Faulkner corporation stating that the price quoted on TrueCar was valid until 1/25/26. I stayed in communication through text and phone for a week before arriving to the dealership. I submitted an offer during this time and was told that this would be considered and taken to the sales manager. Never got any counter offer or confirmation of my submitted offer. I continued to stay in contact and was never told that now the price I was quoted when I first submitted inquire to the car had gone up due to a ?dealer market adjustment? on a used car. A car that had increase in miles by close 1500 than originally listed on the website and available for over a month. I unfortunately found this out when I arrived at the dealership. Arriving to the dealership I expected to meet with one salesman but was handed off to another. The test drive was appropriate. After this the process became difficult. The process to purchase the car was difficult. I had submitted pictures and information regarding my trade through text before arriving to the dealership. It took close to an hour or so to see any numbers put together for my deal for the Kia. When this was presented the price quoted previously was now invalid and null and void and the trade in value was not market value. The deal did come through only after 3 times back to the sales manager and directly showing the sales manager email proof of a much higher value for my trade in and the TrueCar value that I was quoted by the Faulkner Corporation. The process to view the car, negotiate, explain that I drove with my father over an hour away to be told incorrect information, and see final number and sign paperwork took close to 3.5 hours. I?m happy with my purchase but awareness to customer time, an educated buyer, and professionalism is important in improving dealership customer relations.
