Amazing Experience

Let me begin by saying I have been looking for this dream car of mine for 2 years now, after countless hours with countless different dealerships, I finally found what I was looking for... a gorgeous gray metallic Genesis G80 Sport AWD V6 3.3L Turbo...365HP Luxury Sedan, CPO, Certified Pre Owned Genesis, heads up display, front, rear and side mirror cameras, Android auto, the works! Took months of dealing with dealerships, and the Salesman that helped me at Algonquin was so patient with me... You can't find these in my side of the country, they're all in the East coast, I was an out of state buyer from Colorado and tons of dealerships and their salesmen wrote me off but not this one, many not taking me seriously... but Casey from Algonquin Hyundai was the hero I needed... Even after times when the deal fell through, he would follow up with me, making sure he was still there to help me with this purchase... finally after a couple months and all the stars lined up, it was time to make the purchase, and Casey's steadfast dedication to make sure I was taken care of paid off. I literally bought the car, without even seeing it, just from pictures, from Colorado, then flew out to pick it up. They FedEx'ed me the paperwork, I signed it, sent it back then flew out to Chicago to pick it up and drove it back. Not only that, Casey himself picked me up at the airport and drove me back to the dealership 1 hour away! Talk about Genesis customer service! What do you expect when a luxury fully loaded 2022 4 door sedan goes for 58k when it's new you're buying primo goods... and mine was a 2018! After all the time I spent with Casey going back and forth, I felt like I made a friend, not just someone trying to sell me something...If you buy from this dealership, ask for Casey, he will take care of you like he did me, I'll never forget him and will always appreciate what he did for me, Thank you Hyundai Algonquin and Thank you Casey for making my dreams come true...

It started with a lie. You can do way better

Looked at an Ioniq 5. The relationship started off with a lie on the advertised price, which right their should have should of ended the call but I wanted to see the lengths they’d go to defend the lie. Got a call from a woman salesperson who claimed the MSRP price I saw from cars.com or wherever doesn’t reflect their price. The thing is I went to their website and it stated in $45,490. Next came to “market adjustment fee” of $3000. Their reasoning was because of limited inventory (I can see that - capitalism at work) and the 2023 were coming out. I pointed out the 2023 has superior tech so how would make a difference in the 2022 price? No answer. There was the non-negotiable fee for a paint and protection package of $800. I told them I wasn’t paying $800 for some Scotchgard and a wax job. They know no one will use it and i certainly wouldn’t. I said I didn’t want their package. “Well it’s not negotiable.” Dealerships are so dumb.The average customer is worth over $400,000 from referrals, service appointments, and future sales. During a time of record profits they’d rather rip off their customers than cultivate a relationship. In a year or duo this supply chain thing will be over, and they’ll be back to begging and crawling for customers with this kind of attitude. I’ll never shop there and I’ll actively recommend people look elsewhere for a Hyundai.
