Just was speaking to one of the sales team at Wallace Hyundai in Stuart, Florida. Nice enough fellow! However he told me that were tacking on a premium on top of their vehicle sticker due to the lack of being able to get cars. I find that to be a despicable move by any dealership. I was interested in the new 2023 Palisade, was going to take the trip up for a look see until this conversation. I have been in the marketing of automotive dealerships for many years from Miami to Chicago. Was one of the team members to start dealer group advertising in the 90's with the Gallas Automotive Group out of of Albuquerque New Mexico. I am appalled by their dealerships behavior. Their salesman having the excuse that everyone is doing it is just pretentious and despicable. I recently reviewed Hyundai's chairman of the boards video boasting on how the lack of cars have not hurt Hyundai. That Hyndai has been able to comfortably supply vehicles to their dealerships and boasts the top sales figures in the SUV sector. I am a very disappointed at this dealerships behavior and that's why I have contacted corporate.!!! I would gather Mr. Wallace should be appalled as well. This is whats still wrong with the automotive industry! Dealership like these actually have the audacity to penalize the consumer for their business setbacks and inability to get cars to their dealerships. Just another way for the automotive industry to cast doubt onto their consumer base.

Terrible Experience

Finally getting around to writing this. Recently (May 2022) went in to trade my Jeep in with the Wallace Group in Stuart, after leasing it from them (2x). I wanted something different so got into a good price (or so I thought) for a 2021 car, a week later come to find out that car needed service for squeaking brakes, come to find out it needed new brake pads all around, so I had to take it in for service, then was told that it would be at least 10 days out to fix it, so was offered a rental, and THEN told that I may have to pay for some of this! That same day I asked for my car that I turned in back, it was back on the lot for sale, so they made me repurchase it, but the down payment that I gave on the 2021 only 5 days ago was not refunded for THEIR mistake, nor was it offered, it also wasn't even rolled into the repurchase. THEN come to find out that I now have payments on this car for more than it is worth, so I was resold it at full market value instead. They made money on me, totally ripped off, and all that happened that day was an "apology" about the car that they sold me that needed total service. Yes, I should have probably done better research but this was my third time in there with them so thought I could trust them, or not turned my car in at the end of the lease, but how was I to know that a car that was on the lot needed service only after a WEEK of purchase. They definitely will not be getting my business again, disappointed and now very frustrated with where I'm at in my current car versus where I should be. Oh, and I also STILL have a temporary tag from them, going on 2 months now, with no time frame of when I can put my own back on. Car buying is already stressful and frustrating and they definitely proved that. I should have wrote all of this when it happened, but I am doing it now and my feelings are still the same. Just think that people or someone should know incase it wasn't shared, that a used car, only 2021 though, on your lot, was not ready and needed new brakes, and then I was resold my car for a higher value!
