I went in to purchase a 2018 Hyundai Sonata SEL today. The price listed was $13,855. After beginning the sales process the salesman "Al" came back with a final price of over $18,000. 2,000 of it was taxes and dealership fees (which was expected). But, there was an additional $955 "warranty fee" that we was not posted online and an additional $1200 in "shop fees". We specifically told the salesman that we couldn't go a specific price and he STILL wasted our time. This dealership feels very manipulative and I WILL not come again.

No desire to sell a car with a trade in that is much more valuable. Salesmen need more social skills if the dealership will succeed. Maybe contacts and negotions are handled differently there.

I was referred to Hyundai of New Port Richey by my mechanic. He gave me the name of the dealership and said he'd make a call for me. By time I got home, I had received a call from Alan Woolridge from the dealership. Thank you Willie from Honest 1 Car Care! I told Alan about my situation and what I could put down and what I wanted my monthly payments to be around for budgeting purposes. Alan left me a message that he had some options for me that would fit with my situation. We set an appointment time and we both confirmed the appointment the day before. Being in sales myself, I really appreciated being able to set an appointment and having it confirmed. Alan had me meet with Felix Nieves III, who was a delight to work with. He knows the product inside and out, he showed me all the latest and greatest that has been built into the Kona. He not only told me about the benefit of Hyundai Roadside Service, but made me put the 800 number in my phone. For real..... he made me pull out my phone and watched me put the number in. I have no doubt, if I ever have to use this service, it won't let me down. Felix tuned into the fact that I had a budget to work with, and if I strayed to inquire about this whiz bang or that whiz bang.... he reminded me that I was on a specific mission and kept me on course. ( I think he know's I'll be back to get those upgrades in a new car in a year or two) After Evan completed the paperwork, thoroughly explaining everything I was signing, Felix came and got me and took me back to the Service department to meet Katrina Heilig. Having had a BMW for years, I really appreciate a personal introduction to the Service team. I like having a person to schedule appointment with and Katrina told me all about the service hours of operation and best times to schedule appointment to avoid the crowds. After meeting Katrina, Felix took me to my new Kona, full tank of gas, all shined and polished, new car smell for days. We got my phone hooked up with the Apple play, had me test out Siri with all of the features of this new technology. ( new to me..... my trade in was an '04) I look forward to driving my new Kona and referring family and friends to Hyundai of New Port Richey and Felix!
