Play too many games, and tell too many lies

Reviewed by SP M from Roseville, CaliforniaJune 01, 2021

Dealership plays so many games, they advertise a sale price on their website and when you show up they hit you with the "sorry we are out of that vehicle" and try selling you something else. They tack on floor mats or first aid kits, so that vehicles prices is just slightly over whatever the advertised MSRP is, so that you can't qualify for the extra $4000 discount. This was for the memorial day sale. On their site as well as Hyundai's main website it shows this dealership has shopper assurance, so they will exchange cars within 3 days but that's a lie, They claim that the information isn't right, so basically they admit to false advertisement which is illegal. The managers are even worse, when I asked about the exchange policy, they told me to come back the next day when the owner would be around who I could speak to about it, I told them several times to call the owner. Joey said to me "Hey look buddy you are free to stay at the dealership all night long till the next day when the owner shows up" Joey is one of the supposed managers, yet this is how he talks to a customer who just bought a brand new car from his dealership. I regret buying a car from here, originally I was supposed to go with 2 of my family members to the nearby Toyota dealership so that we could work out a deal for 3 brand new cars, but I decided to head to the Hyundai dealership instead, since the styling of their car looked better. My relatives told me the Toyota dealership is marking up their RAV4 hybrids by almost $10k due to a shortage so they were going to consider 2 Hyundai SUVs instead, I told them stay away, this dealership plays games, lies a lot, and treats customers terribly. They are now considering getting RAV4 from a city 200 miles away or just getting the Honda CRV instead now. The manager Joe was also almost as bad as Joey, he told me I could get $1500 of the car I was looking at, through Hyundai rebates and that they would offer me an additional $500 off, for a total of $2000 off, yet when Joe was doing his math his numbers were $100 short, totaling to around $1900 instead of $2000. I literally pulled out my calculator to show him, but he didn't want to hear it and started arguing with me. I wonder how someone who can't even do basic math, got a job as a manger for car sales. I shouldn't even need to pull out a calculator for such basic math, but even after doing so he still didn't want to see it. They also wouldn't do any of the numbers in front of us, he kept running to the back to pull out his bs numbers. They made us sit around for almost 4 hours, for what would have taken them less than 10mins to tell us. If you want to fall for their games and get ripped off, by all means go ahead. For everyone else stay away and go to one of the other 2 nearby Hyundai dealerships instead. If you can make the drive, I would recommend Tracy since they openly advertise a 3 day return policy

Hasn't paid off trade-in in nearly a month!

Reviewed by Scott Benedict from Roseville, CAMay 28, 2021

Although the sales process went well, the issues began in the finance department. On April 28, we agreed to a lease and Roseville Hyundai agreed to pay off my 2020 Honda Pilot. As of May 21, this had not been paid off (2 days past the CA set limit of 21 days). When I contacted them regarding this, they said there was an error in the contract and that I would have to resign (in CA, they only have 10 days to claim an error). I only did so because they said the payment would be lower. I came into their office and signed new paperwork and was assured they would have my Honda paid off before my next payment due on June 1st (I had already made two payments to Hyundai by this time and the May 1st payment to Honda). My new payment was nearly $150 less per month. I was happy. When they were making copies of the documents, they realized they made another mistake and had to rewrite and I had to resign all new paperwork. This time the price went up from the second contract and was only $50 lower from the first. Again, they assured me my trade-in would be paid off. It is now May 28 (Friday before a holiday weekend) and Honda still does not have payment. I've emailed both the financial person as well as the GM yesterday and received no response. I will have to make yet another payment to Honda on June 1st to protect my credit. That will be 4 car payments in just over 30 days! Who can afford that? I have purchased and/or leased 4 cars in the past 7 years and have never had an issue with a payoff, let alone have two different errors done on the same contract. You would think that after the first error, they would have double and triple checked everything before having me come back in and you'd also think they would make sure to pay off the trade in within CA law and to make a new customer to their brand/dealership happy so that they continue to earn my business. Very unhappy with my experience.
