The 2022 Honda Civic has been redesigned with more mature styling over its predecessor. This year, it comes as either a four-door sedan or a five-door hatchback. Inside, standard features include a 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system, automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio, a front USB charging port, and push-button start.
Four trim levels are available: LX, Sport, EX, and Touring.
The 11th-generation Civic has two engine options: a standard 158-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a more powerful 180-hp, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder. Both engines are mated to a continuously variable transmission. This year, the EPA gave a different fuel economy rating for each trim: LX – 31/40 mpg city/highway, Sport – 30/37 mpg, EX – 33/42 mpg, and Touring – 31/38 mpg.
Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and a backup camera.
