They Treated me Very Well

I purchased a certified used Honda two years ago in January 2019 from Burns Honda. After a few weeks of ownership, I noticed a gap and some door damage that was covered up with after-market paint and I communicated this to the sales person. After a few car washes (to get winter salt off the car) the door showed where there had been a bumper collision with the door. As it was certified as never being in a crash, I arranged for the sales person and manager to see it and they looked at it and agreed to fix it. I did not realize at the time that in the pre-owned car market this is extremely unusual and almost unheard of. According to Steve Lehto, a lemon law lawyer, dealers do not have any responsibility to fix anything if it was purchased "As-Is." Maybe they fixed it because it was certified pre-owned and they could tell I wasn't lying about it, but they probably could have solid legal foundation to do nothing and ignore me, but they didn't. I do not think anyone there was aware of this before they tried selling it because it took weeks of use for it to begin to discolor. In summary, they treated me and my wife very well and they did not have to. When an issue came up, they fixed it. Thank you for treating us well.
