Ive been taking my little work horse chevy trax into Martin for years now and I must say I think the only reason its ran that long its because of them. Every time I'm in the shop for a quick oil change or something more major they are always there to help and clear with a solution they really make the process simple and easy. Thank you for all the years of service. My Trax thanks you even more!

It may be pure coincidence, but we took the car in for service: oil change, tire alignment, plus a special item regarding the front passenger door, and it came back with a dead battery. We literally brought it home, parked it for the night, and it was dead in the morning...

Martin Chevrolet sales department reflects a serious

Reviewed by toddhOctober 03, 2025

Martin Chevrolet sales department reflects a serious breach of trust and professional conduct. After searching for over six months for the right truck, I found a good deal at another dealership. Jerry, a sales rep at Martin, assured me that they could match the deal. He spoke with management, and after some negotiation, provided me a buyer’s order in writing with the agreed price — Keep in mind this was a price agreed IN WRITING. I moved forward with GM financing, got approved, and thought the deal was finalized. However, to my surprise, Jerry informed me when we went to close that Martin Chevrolet would not honor the agreed price and wanted to charge me thousands more! Initially, I thought this must be a misunderstanding. But I learned that the dealership had deliberately applied an IRS tax credit that I had told Jerry upfront did not apply to the 2024 Silverado — something I clearly communicated during our very first call. This IRS incentive was applied to make the price appear lower. Martin Chevrolet had already applied a Chevrolet discount, which cannot be combined with the federal tax incentive — a fact stated clearly on Chevrolet’s own website. Yet they moved forward with this pricing tactic, knowing it was dishonest. Here’s the worst part: by the time Martin told me they wouldn’t honor the deal, the original truck from the other dealership had already sold — meaning Martin’s bait-and-switch cost me the opportunity to buy the truck elsewhere at that price. I spoke with two managers, Chris and Chris Gottslig -who promised to get back with me, I did not hear back from him. Jerry sent me a new quote, $1,500 higher than our written agreement. I met with the dealership owner, Janet Clark, who was nice and respectful. She admitted an error was made but refused to honor the price I had been given in writing, even though another dealership had successfully completed the deal at that amount. I had: A written buyer’s order from Martin Chevrolet, matching the competitor’s price. GM financing approved. Clear and documented communication regarding incentive eligibility. What I lost: A legitimate deal with a reputable competing dealership. Time, trust, and energy after six months of research and effort. I don’t know how this practice is legal, but I do know that it is dishonest and misleading. Martin Chevrolet used a deceptive pricing tactic to lure me in, knowing the final price would change — and they did not hesitate to back out of a written agreement when it no longer suited them. This has been a horrible experience. I recommend you stay away from Martin.
