Buyer Beware!

*** Buyer Beware *** Made an offer a little over a week ago at $1200 under list price and was told they wanted the list price. Came back a week later and made another offer at $850 below list price in the morning and was told that they still needed the list price. Called at 1:55 pm and left a voicemail saying we would take the vehicle at list price. Never heard back even though Brian was supposedly really busy and there until 8:30 pm that evening (giving him 6 hours to get the voicemail). I contacted him again in the morning and he told me the vehicle was still available and wanted to know when I wanted to come look at it. So I started working on getting financing and insurance squared around because it's a 2.5 hour drive for me. Brian sent me a link to the website for the VIN number and when I opened up the link, the list price had jumped up by $2000 on me because the “sale” was over and they tried to sneak it past me. I contacted Brian back and asked if we were still locked in at the original price and he said he would have to talk with the manager. Came back a little later and said the price is the new list price. Even though I called yesterday when the “sale” was still going and offered the original list price. I reached out to the Richard Cronins, (the owner) and his response was to rub it in my face that they sold it for $4,000 over the original list price. If you read other comments, you’ll find that I’m not the first customer to experience this. Just glad I saw the price change before driving 2.5 hours down there. Shady business practices and it comes from the top down. Feel free to contact me as I have all of the conversations documented and I'm open to share them.

We had a great, no pressure experience with our salesman Matt Ovens. We had called ahead wanting to test drive a vehicle. He was busy with another customer upon our arrival, but welcomed us by having the car running and ready for us to test drive it. Matt was very easy to talk with, answered all of our question though the whole process.

Bad timing - still good service

I probably just had an odd experience timing-wise with the team at Volvo Perrysburg, but it was a little frustrating so I figured I'd share... I just bought a 2016 XC90, used, from another dealership in the area. This is my 4th Volvo. The check engine light came on shortly after I purchased so they warrantied it and setup an appointment at Volvo to get it looked at for me. This other dealership handled the drop and pickup of my car at Volvo. They had the appointment setup and I was alerted via an automated email from Volvo. A few days passed after the drop and I hadn't heard anything so I called Volvo directly. Turns out the car had been left sitting in the parking lot because no one checked it in properly. When I called at that point I spoke to someone who probably wasn't a Volvo specialist because the conversation left me feeling a little unsure if I should even leave the car there for the check engine light diagnosis or not. In the end... it all worked out, but it took over a week to get the car back at that point since it got bumped back in the que. I was happy they were able to diagnose the check engine light and service the vehicle properly, but I will be a little hesitant to take the vehicle back. I would hope if I choose to use Volvo Perrysburg for future maintenance it will go more smoothly. The phone interaction I had with the main Volvo specialist was great - I was just disappointed no one had contacted me when the appointment appeared to be a no-show but yet the car was actually sitting there the whole time
