Dick Norris Buick GMC Clearwater

Bought a beautiful little 2006 Mercedesdwith 60K mileage, in 2019 and paid asking price because they said it was in perfect condition. I relied on a friend who said Norris was a reliable company. In a week it started smoking and the engine making a noise. My neighbor who saw me driving in first day head a knocking--I have a profound loss of hearing 87 years old now, and got it in the Army in the sixties. I took it back immediately, in just over a week, and was told in so many words "Screw you, you bought a used car, no warranty." They knew its condition when I drove it off the lot. Fraud. Hired an "elite" lawyer who did nothing, chickened out, afraid of court battle. No xxxxx. Wrong lawyer. I was a courtroom lawyer in New Orleans for 43 years, and would have jumped at a case like this. Clearly fraud, entitled to punitives and extra damages because of bad intentions. I couldn't drive it, and had to park it after a month. Just now got through paying for it, and had double car payments the whole time so I could have a car to drive. He has the right name---Dick--that's what I got from him. I hope he can live with this kind of ethics and morals.

I have been a long time GMC customer. Dick Norris had been servicing my Acadia since I moved to Florida 2012. At less than 40,000 miles they tried to convince me I needed a valve job on my car when I only brought it in for normal maintenance. When I told them no because I wanted a second opinion…I was told it was already being done. $$$$$. After that, I took my car to Midas for all maintenance work without incidence. In November however, the engine control module went bad. Due to the chip shortage, we were told it would be better to take it to GMC because we would have a better chance of getting the needed part. Other than the control model, the car was running great. I had the Acadia towed over to Tesla (formerly Dick Norris) to wait for the part. Once the part came in…they said I needed a tuneup because the car was “running rough”. (Red flags because a tune up was done 1,400 miles ago and it never ran rough) but I agreed to have the tune up done. Then I get a call to say it needs a catalytic converter! I said no…and we went to get the car. Much to our surprise…the windshield was cracked and the car didn’t even run! We were told OUR insurance would pay for a new windshield and I still have a car that won run. RUN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I was planning on trading it in this year for a new GMC…but this experience guarantees I will never buy another GMC.

We have been loyal customers of this business over three year’s. Our 2012 was towed in for a alternator quote was given for part of 1,700 yes that right and labor 140.00 a hour 2500 for repair. I thought WOW that’s a lot. So my husband and I went in to see maybe we will trade. Salesman was very nice enjoyed his story telling but couldn’t make a deal. Next day had car towed back home because quote from two other mechanics found part for under 400.00. While tow man was picking up vehicle service representative was salty with him saying “well hope they find there part” well service department we found the part before we removed car from your lot… I knew something was up when I entered that building no body looks you in the eye! Not today are you ripping my family off.
