When Ingersoll first contacted me, it was out of the blue
When Ingersoll first contacted me, it was out of the blue but they said: I would be happy to set up a time for you to meet one of our managers so we can move the process along quickly. I had no idea what process they were talking about and asked for more details. A different person responded that I might have positive equity in my lease so I arranged an appointment. When I visited, I was not met by a manager. I was assigned a sales consultant, who immediately went into a sales pitch. When we eventually got around to assessing my current vehicle, it didn't take long for someone to find out that I do not have equity in my lease. In fact, I still have another 6 months left on my lease and am not in a position to lease or purchase another vehicle. This was a complete waste of my time which could have been avoided if Ingersoll had taken the time to check the state of my lease before contacting me. It would also have been nice to have actually spoken with a manager. While I like Chevrolets, rest assured I will not be renewing my lease or making a purchase through Ingersoll when the time comes. Neither will I be recommending them to anyone I know.

Mr. Kaye: First and foremost, you have our sincere apology for this negative and frustrating experience. It is certainly not our policy or habit to invite guests to our store only to disappoint them. Like many business entities, we do rely on digital tools that use algorithms to review our customer base and predict equity in upcoming leases. You are correct; a manual calculation in advance would have shown that it was not yet time to make an appointment with you. We are truly sorry for this error.
