Charging on top of MSRP! Don’t buy from this dealer! Don’t do business with them! Their excuse is “ due to shortage “. And this is such a shame to be honest

You are correct, we are allowed per Hyundai corporate rules to charge above MSRP during this nationwide inventory shortage. This is rare moment in history where demand far outweighs supply, and as a dealer we have seen our inventory drop dramatically. Customers are also seeing higher trade values than ever before to help offset the price increase of a new vehicle. We understand how frustrating this can be as a consumer, but we are well within our rights to do this, and offer above average customer service as a benefit of doing business with Hyundai of Louisville. Bait & Switch Sales Tactics

I recently purchased a 2021 Genesis G80 at this dealership, but didn't have the best buying experience. I found the exact car I was looking for (color, packages) and liked the advertised price online. I spoke with a sales associate (Keith Linton) over the phone regarding the price and asked about the current Genesis loyalty rebate offer of $1000. He was not aware of that rebate and said the advertised price did NOT include it. As a result, I was very interested in the car and willing to drive 500 miles from out of state to pick it up. 2 days later, Keith Linton called me and said the $1000 loyalty rebate was already included in the advertised online price. How is that even possible,since everyone wouldn't qualify for that particular rebate, being you had to be a previous Genesis owner? He would only knock off $250 instead of $1000 and I reluctantly agreed. Then when they emailed me the purchase agreement to go over, there was a "Customer Appreciation Benefit Plan" charge of $499, which was on top of their $399 doc fee. In my 30+ years of buying cars, I've never heard of such a charge. Plus, I'm purchasing the car from out of state (NC) and therefore wouldn't have any use for their local benefit plan to bring in the car to their dealership. However, they would not take off the $499 tack on fee under any circumstances. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle at this dealership.
