This has been the worst situation I have ever
This has been the worst situation I have ever experienced. I will continue to bring awareness to this situation so that no other woman will be taking advantage of by this dealership. I see that they respond to these reviews. No need to respond unless you respond with paperwork saying you will unwind this loan. This location does bad business and I do believe they take advantage of women because they know many of us do not know and when buying a car we rely solely on trust and that people will do ethical business. I was sold a bad car, a 2023 Genesis G 70. Someone superglued the evaporator box together and it broke leading to severe flooding in the car. I asked them to replace the part. The car was under warranty by the manufacturer and I also purchased an extended warranty, which I was charged $3500 for. The service guy, Mr. Steve told me that repair may not be covered under the warranty and that I would have to pay out-of-pocket for it. My car was taken there December 1, 2025. It has now been over 30 days and I still don’t have possession of the car. At about the 20th of the day, I decided to go to the dealership to see why I had never received a call to pick up my vehicle. Absolutely no one knew that I did not have my vehicle. At this point, I was totally frustrated and not feeling confident that the replacement had accurately been done so I asked them to unwind the loan as my finance company had requested that I do. Of course, this dealership refused to unwind it not because they could not, but because they simply did not want to. I had to spend money at another Genesis dealership to uncover what the problem was only to uncover there were other recall parts on my car that had never been taken back to the manufacturer. I received all of the accurate paperwork from the other dealership to present SouthTowne with information as to why I wanted them to unwind the loan due to lack of ethical business. The other dealership even gave Mr. J at Southtowne a personal phone call to basically say they should never have sold me that car in the condition it was in. The other dealership said they could fix my car, but Southtowne would have to take the hit because they did not do what they were supposed to do initially. Mr. J at SouthTowne told the other dealership they are not in position to do such a thing, and if I came back to them, they would take care of me. I am still waiting to be taken care of in an ethical and professional way: Everything from gluing the evaporator box to trying to make me pay for something under warranty, to the lack of professionalism, to the fact that no one even knew I didn’t have my vehicle are all red flags in my book. As a business owner, I would never treat anyone like this and would be happy to refund a dissatisfied customer. Mind you this is my second purchase from them. They will not get a third. I am frustrated, disgusted, and ashamed that men, grown men would take advantage of a woman over a few pennies

Worst experience ever.
Worst experience ever. Lack of professionalism, dishonest, and takes advantage of women purchase my vehicle from them did not realize they gave me a high finance company with double digit interest. My first vehicle was financed at only 7% when I went back I had a completely different team of men. my car experienced flooding. I took it back for a repair, was told they can replace it but not repair it unless I paid even though it was covered under warranty as well as I had purchased and extended warranty. They told me the repair would be two days. It has been over 20 days and I still do not have the vehicle. I’ve asked them to unwind the loan because I do not feel secure, excepting the car back or doing business with them. They refuse to unwind the loan I have since connected with several other women who have come across purchasing lemons at this dealership. Every man that I have spoken to has assured me that they have had no problems. I am convinced they take advantage of women and expect them not to know. I will continue to bring awareness to this situation and I will never shop here again.

On Thursday I spoke with Harold (as advised by another associate there) who contacted me after I inquired about a vehicle there. I asked him if they are able to apply the Clean Vehicle Tax Credit for used EV/PHEV Hybrids directly; he told me yes and tried to get me to come that same day to see the vehicle because of a "big event" they're having for the weekend. I advised him I needed to be completely sure before make the trip and asked if he could send me information confirming what we discussed and additional information (carfax, etc) about the vehicle. He advised me he would and I'd receive a follow up call. Friday, I reached back out to the dealership and was told something completely different from what I was previously advised. This is why I'm taking time to leave this complaint for others that maybe considering doing business with this questionable dealership that has less than honest representatives working for them.
