The 2021 Ford Explorer is a popular, full-size SUV that seats up to seven passengers across three rows. This year, it has been redesigned with a sportier front-end and more power to boot.
Five trims are available: Base, XLT, Limited, ST, and Platinum.
Powering the Explorer is a standard 290-hp, 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, while four-wheel drive (4WD) is available. With the ST trim, a 400-hp, twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 joined with a ten-speed automatic is available.
