Do you want a really nice and expensive lawn ornament that you make car payments on, but can’t drive? Buy a used car from Hyundai/Ford of Kirkland! Let me start by saying buying this car has been the epitome of what you think of when buying a used car. Our salesman was great, he answered all our questions was helpful, attentive and respectful. No issues with him at all! The issues were when we took our newly purchased vehicle to another Ford dealer closer to us and they immediately could tell it had an issue with its cam phaser. You are probably wondering how much this repair costs, $4,500 is what they quoted us. We didn’t buy an expensive car, just to do a $4,500 repair immediately after buying it. Yes it was a used car, but they sold it to us saying it was in great shape. They claimed no issues, it has been checked over and bam, right after we get it two mechanics tell us it has a huge issue that can ruin the engine if left alone. So here we are with an expensive car we can’t drive because we’re worried we’ll damage the engine. We talked to the dealer and found a manager who was willing to work with us to get the repair done. We were very thankful and excited our car was going to get fixed. Fast forward a few weeks when the parts were supposed to arrive and the manager we were working with informs us he no longer works there and to contact the dealer. A heads up would have been nice. Back to square one, no one was familiar with the agreement and we started to feel like we were lied to and led on. Finally after getting bounced around from sales person, to managers, parts and service and the really rude receptionist for days we finally found someone who was familiar with our situation and ready to help us. We set an appointment and our car was supposed to be ready in a week. So we made an appointment for our car to get set up for a trailer since we are going on vacation soon and need it to be ready. Fast forward a week, of course our car isn’t ready, of course it hasn’t even been started. Did we get a call saying this? Nope not at all. So we had to cancel our other appointment with our car. Also, if this was our only vehicle, not having a vehicle for 2 weeks without being offered a loaner car is straight up ridiculous. Luckily we have other vehicles and this wasn’t an issue for us, but what if it was our situation? Finally, 3 months after we bought our car we can actually drive it. Assuming nothing else goes wrong with it. I will also say, our vehicle came home with two new scratches from the lifts at the service department, how do I know this? Both times it has come back from the service department it has come back with scratches that match the color of their lifts. Strange.. Why didn’t we just return the vehicle? They only offered us to trade it in, and I definitely was not going to buy a Hyundai that ends up getting stolen because the company took shortcuts. Also, we planned a road trip based on this car and it’s the only car that can fit the crates for our large working dogs. I don’t recommend anyone to buy a car from either Hyundai or Ford of Kirkland. It has literally been the worst customer service I have experienced and makes me never want to buy another car again. Used or new. Save yourself the time, money, headache, high stress levels and buy a car at a place that has better service. Our experience was beyond horrible, there were some people that were helpful, but overall our experience was AWFUL and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Needed a couple of service visits to address steering issue among others. More than I?d expect on a two year used vehicle. I think this dealer could?ve done more to get it market ready.

Ford of Kirkland scammers

I've bought a used car from them about a week ago. The car is nice and the salesperson was also nice and personable; however, the entire team was basically scammers. They quoted me a price over the phone and then raised the price by $500 on the day of my visit. Their out the door pricing is different from the estimate and the actual. I was not very happy with the transaction although I bought the car from them.
