So called to check and see if they had the vehicle on their website still in stock. The salesman said they did so I stated we would be on our way to check it out and see it. I was then told if all we were going to do was get a feel for the vehicle then he recommended just looking at the videos online. I stated well we need to see the vehicle and sit in it and see the options to make sure we like it and his reply was well this is an extremely unique vehicle and I am really busy I have 2 customers here and we have customers everywhere. So you will have to wait awhile I said will it seems as if we may not need to come in today and see if there is something closer to us (we are 42 miles from the dealership) and he said ok great good luck. We are a cash buyer no issues or anything we just have no familiarity with the car we were looking at so first time in my life to deal with a car dealership that has an issue with a customer coming to their dealership to look at a car.

It was the most humiliating experience we have ever had

It was the most humiliating experience we have ever had with an auto dealership. We were treated extremely poorly, including being told that "we obviously could not afford to buy the vehicle we were interested in", then our salesman left us and proceeded to drive the vehicle back to its space on the lot. We were still sitting in the dealership attempting to do the numbers by hand on a sheet of paper that was left at our table. About 15 minutes later, the salesman walked by us again and asked what we were doing. I told him that we were trying to determine what the vehicle would cost us after deducting the trade in amount. He stated "oh are you all serious about purchasing" I responded yes, I'm trying to calculate how much we needed to put down, maybe 5k or 6k to be in the finance/payment range needed for our household budget as this would be purchased as our 3rd vehicle for leisure. He then seemed to think that we might be able to purchase the vehicle. He then asked for both of our credits scores. We both shared that we are well qualified, but would be using our credit union to finance the vehicle. We provided Mr. Washington our loan application reference number to call our credit union to process our paperwork. He left for about 20- minutes, then returned with a Ford credit application. He asked us to complete the application because he believed that we could get a better deal with Ford. We again stated that we have financing in place. By this point we were in the dealership for 2.5 hours attempting to purchase a vehicle. I asked the sales guy if the finance department has contacted our credit union, he stated no; I'm waiting on you to complete the Ford credit application. Nothing at this point had been provided to finance department for the purchase. I asked Mr. Washington to at least start the process with finance as our credit union would be closing soon. I also asked to test drive the vehicle. I didn't get an opportunity to test drive the vehicle before Mr. Washington drove the vehicle back to its space on the lot earlier in the day when he assumed that we couldn't afford the vehicle. I asked for a print out of the quote/deal and if he would still waive the Permaplate fee, as he initially stated that he would do. It was still listed on the quote. He stated that you are already getting the best deal That we could get on the price of the vehicle. I asked if a manager could help us, then he stated ‘I am the manager, there is no one higher than me, which was untrue. Immediately after we arrived and sat Down at the dealership. The manager came to our table with a quote/deal sheet that wasn’t for us, it was for the couple sitting next to us. We never got an opportunity to speak with the manager about our purchase. We finally headed back to the finance area and were accosted again by Mr. Washington regarding the ford credit application. My husband stated that we were not going to apply with Ford and if he asked us again, that we would just leave. Mr. Washington raised his voice and yelled “you can leave now... GO”! I asked my husband to come into the finance office and to not pay any attention to Mr. Washington as he was obviously having a bad day. It was a terrible experience. I have always purchased and serviced my vehicles at Park Place Motorcars due to the wonderful service and treatment received each time I visit the dealership. The purchase is just the beginning. A good purchase experience is what typically causes the customer to return again and again for service after the purchase and for future purchases. North Central ford failed in the customer service area. Hector in finance was cordial and professional. The only reason that we finalized the deal was that we liked the vehicle, and the vehicles price. I travel for work often and don’t have the time to go elsewhere and start all over to locate and purchase a vehicle.
