Bad Cat Converter.

I took my 2002 ford escape XLT 3.0L engine in because the check engine light was on. They told me it was the catalytic converter and the the cost estimate was $2200. I came here to check the estimates on cars.com/repair and their estimate is $523 - $1329. Major discrepancy!!!! I had just had major work done on the emission devices like the EGR and such, and A/C compressor replacement and thought the price was fair for all they did. Very personable service people.
