*********Buyer Beware!

*********Buyer Beware!!!!********** Went to Fairfield ford to test drive a Jeep Wrangler Vin:1C4HJXEN1JW296223. Took it it my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. When popping the hood my mechanic immediately noticed a rodent nest and the air intake line had been chewed through. My mechanic also noticed an oil leak. I brought the vehicle back, and told them I would buy it if they fixed the issue. I showed my salesperson the rodent damage to the intake, and the response was "is it really that big of a deal?" I reiterated that if they fix the intake hose and the oil leak i would buy. The response was "it has already been through our service department." I asked the salesperson to confirm with the sales manager that they would not service the obvious issues. The salesperson reiterated that the sales manager said it's already been through their service department. I can't in good conscious not leave a review, knowing that they will happily sell a vehicle to an unsuspecting buyer knowing there are issues. My advice is to 100% have YOUR MECHANIC look at any vehicle BEFORE buying here, and if you're shopping this dealership from out of the area, good luck!!!! This was the 1st time I've been on their sales lot in 14 years, because last time I bought a vehicle here, I had an issue less than 20 miles driven after purchasing. It would have been an easy fix, and their response then was "It was sold As-Is." So although the staff has changed, clearly the business ethic hasn't.
