After researching car dealerships we decided to choose
After researching car dealerships we decided to choose Seth Wadley Ford of Ada to find a nice late model used car. They were highly recommended. We had never bought a used vehicle before, always had bought new, however we are now 80 and 82 years old and our vehicle had high mileage so we wanted to get something that would be safe and reliable for us to drive without high payments. After searching the online inventory for this dealership we decided on 4 different cars to look at. I called the dealership and told them basically what we were looking for and that we would be there the morning of Sept. 10. We took the information and off to the dealership we went. Upon arrival we were met by a nice young salesman and we gave him the information he needed to start the process. I gave him the list of cars I was interested in and he told us he would get started and have them brought up. In the meantime they had brought a nice Chevy Traverse and parked it outside, opening all the doors and the hatch back and the salesman said while we are waiting lets go out and take a look at this car. We went out to look at it and I told him it was a little more than we were looking for. Back inside and we started filling out the application. Waited a while and we ask about the cars we wanted to look at, none were forthcoming but they would bring it up soon. After about 3 hours still nothing was brought up, no explanation but they kept pushing the car they had outside. After 4 hours they brought up a Ford Escape which I had already told them we did not want and were not interested in at all but I finally went out and sat in it and immediately told them absolutely not and got out. A manager had joined us and he suggested we just take the Traverse for a little drive and see how we liked it. We were getting really tired, had not eaten and my husband is on oxygen and we needed to finish this up. We live 75 miles away and we had a drive home. We said we would take a drive in the car and of course its a really nice car and drove like a dream. It had all the bells and whistles we were looking for. We were assured it was a really nice and reliable car. It was a Pre-Owned Certified Auto. I had read about this added assurance that meant the car had been gone over and everything was in great working condition, guaranteed to be a great buy. We said yes, were taken into the finance guy who had the papers ready and we signed them. We left the dealership, drove home, next day we drove the car about 40 miles and the check engine light came on. I called the dealership and they said to bring it in. I took it to service dept and after about 3 hours they said it had a couple of wires to the emissions system were "gnawed" in two. Thought it might have happened at our house. In living here 6 years we've never had a vehicle "gnawed" on. They fixed it, no charge, and I was on my way back home. Got home and next day the Engine light came on again. I called again and never got anyone to answer so I just drove the car, hoping it would be okay, to the dealership. They took it in and after about 3 hours said they replaced the O2 sensor and should be just fine. But if it wasn't the Catalytic Converter might need to be replaced. It happened again same day. Long story short after telling them it needed to be fixed or trade cars with us. We were treated rudely and told they were done with us and it was our problem. They did NOT fix the car. The car obviously had a problem and they decided to get rid of it when they saw two old people they could take advantage of. I've never been treated this way nor has my husband. I would NOT recommend ever doing business with them.

I have to say, my experience at Seth Wadley Ford Ada
I have to say, my experience at Seth Wadley Ford Ada totally reshaped my perception of dealerships and car salesmen. Initially, I went in just to browse, unsure of what to expect after hearing some mixed reviews. However, from the moment I stepped onto the lot, the team welcomed me and truly listened to my needs. I shared my concerns about being upside down on my trade-in, and they worked diligently to help minimize that negative equity. Myles was particularly impressive; he was straightforward and answered all my questions honestly, which made the entire process feel transparent and stress-free. The finance guy also stood out, presenting multiple options tailored to my situation without any pressure. For the first time, I left a dealership feeling satisfied and appreciated rather than overwhelmed or taken advantage of. I’m genuinely grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown to me at Seth Wadley FORD of Ada.
