In 2014 Joe Machens helped me out of a difficult situation. Gary and Marc were a pleasure to work with and did everything they could to get me in a reliable car that I could afford. Ever since then I spoke extremely highly of Joe Machens despite hearing a lot of negative reviews about them the past couple of years from friends and colleagues.
Fast forward to today when I came back to Joe Machens tp purchase a new family friendly vehicle as a Mustang just doesn't fit a car seat for my 7 month old daughter. This time I had a pre approved loan through a local credit union and speaking with her over the numbers it looked like we were going to be able to make a deal within the budget my wife and I decided on. I was excited to walk in, sign a couple documents, and walk out with the new car. When I got to Machens it was an entirely different story. They decided to lower my trade in value much lower than the original amount discussed and this threw the entire budget off. Marc once again worked very hard to make things fit but they wouldn't budge on their pricing either way.
In comes the salesperson (who I won't mention) who then TELLS me I HAVE to get this vehicle because it's only X amount difference than what I was quoted. I was taken aback because what right does he have to demand me to do something outside of my allotted budget? Completely inappropriate. He then doubles and tries to guilt trip me saying that the other dealership had two other buyers and he held them off saying that this vehicle was sold. Why in the world do I care about that? Why are you trying to guilt trip me into a deal that could potentially put me into financial hardship?
I walked away from the deal learning a valuable lesson. Joe Machens no longer cares about you as a person. They don't care about your budget. They don't care about your needs. They don't care about helping you. They don't care that this vehicle would help my wife and I so we didn't have to keep switching vehicles across town all day. They only care about getting a deal done and getting money in their wallet.
Looks like rather than sticking up for you guys you have created yet another person who will tell everyone they know to avoid you at all costs.

This review is regarding a return of a leased vehicle after the lease was up. I called and left a voicemail for Marc Weiner, finance manager, to ensure I had everything I needed before I came in to return the vehicle. When he called me back he was extremely rude and said he couldn’t understand my phone number on the recording so he had called several wrong numbers before he reached me. After he told me what I needed he didn’t even say goodbye but slammed the phone down in ear! We had had such a good experience with him when we bought the car that I just assumed he was having a bad day so I let it go. Later that day when I went to the dealership to return the vehicle he was equally rude. He never said hello just you must be the lady I spoke with on the phone. He never spoke in the 15 minutes I was in his office. All he said at the end was you’re done. No goodbye, have a nice day or would you like to lease/buy another vehicle. This post doesn’t do justice to how rude this man was in person. He also took his mask off at the beginning and I have Lupus and am high risk!! I then got home and saw he charged us a disposition fee of $395 which is a “cleaning to resell fee” if you don’t lease/buy another vehicle from them. We would have had he asked but after this experience we will never use this dealership again!!

I live in New York, and flew to Missouri to make my purchase. I was met at the airport, signed the necessary paperwork, and was on my way, driving my new car within twenty minutes. I was very happy with the negotiation process, as well as the ease of communication. I found the Sale Manager, Steve Rennells, to be most trust worthy and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to make another purchase from this dealership in the future. Thank you again, to all involved.
