Sales was fine they met expectations.

Sales was fine they met expectations. Service was not satisfying. Brand new car within 10 days ford maverick not starting replaced battery from fomoco to AGM. Let sit a few days to see if battery is maintaining. Called in to service to seek some confidence battery was the issue. Service person did not unerstand I just purchased a new car that battery died within week, but could confirm it was not a parasitical drain on battery. So now I must wait before upgrading stereo system as I do not want to spend money upgrading a lemon that may be returned. I was not given convincing information the battery was the final solution. Being an electronic technician I am capable of understanding details, and was waiting for a real answer at why he believed it was the battery and not a parasitic drain happening. As well he did not empathize with a customer who just purchased a new car that died within days. Which can cause great concern of the reliability ongoing of vehicle. BTW 2025 maverick hybrid. Not I searched onling and there are may incidents of dead mavericks with parasitic drain issues. just admit there has been issues, and you believe it is now fixed. However when asked technician about software upgrade they did not know anything about it. Here is information on this issue. Ford Maverick parasitic drain issues, especially in hybrids, often stem from software glitches in the Air Conditioning Control Module (ACCM) or Battery Monitoring System (BMS), causing the 12V battery to drain when parked, requiring dealer software updates (like SSM 53087/53801) and BMS resets, though some drains are linked to non-Ford apps or faulty batteries/components needing diagnosis. Common Causes & Solutions Software Glitches (Hybrids): The most common cause is related to the ACCM software preventing modules from sleeping, leading to drain. Fix: Dealers apply software updates via the FDRS tool and reset the BMS. Third-Party Apps: Using non-Ford remote apps can keep the modem awake. Fix: Uninstall these apps. Faulty Battery/Components: A weak battery, shorted wiring, bad alternator diodes, or other electrical faults can draw power. Fix: Perform a battery test, check connections, and have a mechanic diagnose for shorts or bad parts. Battery Age/Type: Original batteries, especially from certain manufacturers, might fail prematurely. Fix: Ford issued recalls for certain Camel batteries, but upgrading to an AGM battery often helps, followed by the software fixes. What to Do Check for Recalls: Verify your VIN for battery-related recalls (SSM 53087, etc.) and get them addressed at a Ford dealer. Try the Simple Fixes: Uninstall any third-party apps. Visit the Dealer: Ask for the ACCM software update and Battery Monitoring Sensor reset (SSM 53801). Get a Professional Diagnosis: If issues persist, have a technician check for shorts, faulty relays, or other component failures.
