Negotiate a full tank of fuel here
I recieved a good price on a vehicle that had been on the lot for a year as an end of the year deal. Salesman seemed preoccupied when I went to pick it up. Salesman delivered the vehicle with only 3/4 tank of fuel. Blamed it on his card. Mentioned it again and he said, bet your trade doesn't have a full tank. Finance person was great, very informative. Vehicle broke down after less than 24 hours of ownership due to a defective part. Loaner truck smelled like fast food and cigarette smoke. New vehicle was in the shop for four days waiting on a part. Got the vehicle back and they didn't even bother cleaning the hydraulic fluid off the frame. No one expressed any sympathy for the inconvenience. Then the salesman starts harassing me by text message for low scores on the review. I have bought 14 new cars, 10 of them in the last 5 years, and this is one of the worst experiences.
